Mid-70's, Soho, London, a small shop just off Wardour Street where I dropped in each week to top up on my favourite brand of cigars, I'd taken my change, turned around to exit only to be faced by Dr. Who filling the doorway, Tom Baker in wide brimmed hat lowered to just over his eyes, great scarf wrapped around his neck the ends falling over his chest over a great coat. He stood back ushering me out before stepping into the shop. Indelible moment.

My dad wrote the script for the books. Michael Butterworth. I loved space 1999.. Probably one on the best SF series ever shown.

I watched this series with awe as a youngster. It was transfixed thinking that you could travel backwards and forwards through time. I loved watching Cheryl, as I really had a fondness for her.

This episode was nightmare fuel for weeks for me when I first saw it. It’s one of my favorite episodes. ;). Anton Zoref creeped me out after the kill laser shot. Space 1999 had some good old fashioned scary stories. Watched it at my Grandma’s house on Sundays. Good times.

Worth every penny.

Really enjoyed the audio! The first two stories are a bit busy for my taste but characterization is spot on, ninth doctor is quite cold in the beginning, appropriately so~ River can be a little more dramatic than she normally is, but I presume it’s because how the Dr is so mistrusting of her The last story is as original as it gets in terms of doctor/River relationship, paradoxically. I have both 10th doctor/river song audio now I have 9th, I love them equally! Now let’s see more with 11 or 12?

Just as Christopher Reeve WAS Superman, Tom Baker IS (and always will be) Dr Who, bar none.

PS : Now I get how that guy got his terrifying Doctor Who nightmare (Being the Doctor on a mission, eventually giving up because litterally having 0%0 succes, going back to the TARDIS while completely exausted, suddently everything goes silent and the second thing he hears is the weird screaming of some kind of weird creepy thing that amidiently grabs him and starts throttling him after which an other man appears and first says something about the weird creepy thing (quite laconically) and than right before the guy passes out in his dream and the dream ends something about revenge.)

That's a great impression 👍 but he doesn't quote match the energy of matt smiths doctor

These "Season Zero" stories are brilliantly well done. They could easily have been created by the original team. Another great success by Big Finish!

Tom....you blew my mind that Jeremy Brett was a hero. He was such a huge influence with Sherlock, but when I found out it killed him.....I was destroyed. Awful. I watch it from time to time, and I hate that it was destroying him.

Tom Baker strikes me as the Will Ferrell of his time. Some construe him as terse or pompous but he often seems to be holding a chuckle back.

My first and still favorite Doctor. The saddest moment in my DW viewing history will always be Dr. 4 saying "It's the end But the moment has been prepared for." and seeing Tom Baker's face replaced by Peter Davison's face (no reflection on Mr. Davison).😢 That melancholy musical score didn't help matters either.
