another simple way is to use CC Light Wipe with light intencity "0". you can easily get the same effect and also you can change the center position to anywhere you want easily.. 🙂

I've been doing expressions for 2D stokes on 3D nulls since 2007 and knew there was probably a way to do it since shape layers were introduced. there it goes! very concise tutorial. subscribed

Great Video, I was using invert technique previously and now i just upgraded my arsenal. Also, you don't need to create a square shape to get a perfect circle mask, just double click on the eclipse tool while holding Shift + Ctrl. Cheers!

There's a site Evoto, does all of this automatically and looks amazing! Saved a reshoot where the subjects glasses were reflecting the reference monitor from across the studio. Evoto is meant for stills primarily, but you can export a still sequence, drag the folder into Evoto, apply the "remove glare from glasses" filter, copy and past the effect across however many frames you have. The rest is automatic. The results are mind-blowing. You'd never know and the eyes look great!

I think he should have taken a different route, which to me, seems more efficient. You create your text in Adobe Illustrator with the typeface you choose of course (make sure it works well with line animating of that particular typeface, like "Aquatic" which he shows at 1:30). You expand that text, make sure the paths are set to have a stroke and not a fill, all the stroked lines can be on the same layer in Illustrator. then you save that illustrator file, open After Effects drag and drop in the AI file you were just on, and then on that AI layer now sitting in the timeline panel, you give a little right click, hover over create>create shapes from vector layer. All your lines with be there ready for "trim paths" to be added and keyframes applied as you want them. I guess I just prefer to use Illustrator a bit more before hopping over to After Effects and to me that's a better workflow. Its important to simply figure out what saves the most time and what works best for you!

9:05 at this point when i change the blending mode Normal to Overlay IT LOOKS LIKE WITHOUT CALCULATIONS EFFECT nothing change like in your video now how can i fix ?? It was supposed to be vibrant, but it didn't turn out that way
@MichaelPonchАй бұрын
Hard to tell without seeing your project. Did you set 2nd layer opacity to 100%? And the channel to Alpha? Maybe your color is already fully saturated? Also experiment with the blending modes other than overlay

Hello Michael, great work! I would like to buy the effect but I don't have a credit card that you need one on Gumroad. Is there another possibility to purchase the effect (PayPal?) Greetings Volker
@MichaelPonchАй бұрын
Thank you very much, Volker 😊. I think it’s possible via PayPal because I set it up back then. But I’ll check it!
