Your content is golden! Loving how you build these premium effects that outperform the big boys in terms of features, (Sapphire), and then proceed to share your process on how to achieve it. Please keep the videos coming!

Great tutorial, I have a question. How do I make the transition or effect at 0:02 of your video that goes from normal to mosaic?
@MichaelPonchКүн бұрын
That’s a simple soft circle wipe transition. Except that I applied the Halftone-Effect to the wipe, too 😎

It's such a cool effect. How would I reverse it? So the dots are large over dark and shrink/dissapear over white? Shouldn't be hard to do right?
@MichaelPonch2 ай бұрын
Thank you 😊. You could apply an ‘Invert’ effect to the footage layer.

And my template has an ‘Invert’ checkbox 😎

05:20 not working for me :( the scale just looks wrong, it works if the constant raster is turned off, but when it's turned on it just breaks and looks wrong, it looks like it's scaling the repeater and not the video despite it being parented
@MichaelPonch4 ай бұрын
Strange. Are you sure you parented the video and not accidentally used the track matte pick whip? As I recall it doesn’t work with the pattern rotated. I’ll take a look at it tomorrow what could’ve gone wrong.

@@MichaelPonch Same for me. Dots are properly rasterized when I scale up, but the Card dance effect stays in place, doesnt folllow and stays small behind 😭
@MichaelPonch3 ай бұрын
Hi! I tried it out and I might've found the answer. The continous rasterizing just works with the a neutral gradient layer. Meaning that the dots aren't affected by the Card Dance effect. So unfortunately there is no halftone effect possible in this case. That's unfortunately a downside of this technique.

Hmm not totally sure I follow but in theory if we wanted to make it big the solution could just be to work at a really high resolution and just scale it down where you need it Or either try with a ramp effect, a shape layer with gradient, a solid or a precomp with a ramp effect already baked in Thanks for the follow up!
