Not quite. He made a tv show inspired by Pili called "Thunderbolt Fantasy". It's in the style of Pili (wuxia performed by glove puppets), but it's an entirely separate production from Pili.

While anime has this really slow pace and dramatic pacing for their fights/narrative, Pili is the contrast, thr action is blazing fast leaving you in a constant wonder of digesting what you are witnessing and wondering how did they made this, this show is trurly captivating but at the same time it leaves you exhausted, such an interesting product from orient leaves a great impact for us westerners.
