Port always had greater differentiation from the Crows so they a better fit than Norwood for the 2nd licence. Had SA’s first conglomerate team had a more working class identity and more Port aligned it would’ve been the other way round.

One plays in the SANFL and the other in the AFL(Formally the VFL before it expanded) All those that say ports SANFL premierships should count in the AFL telly are wrong. The only reason why the original VFL ones count is because is because it is still the same league just rebranded. If VFL sides joined the SANFL I would also expect them to start on 0 flags.
