The "league " have never really wanted us... Oh, they loved the $$$ we brought in through the turnstiles, but they didn't WANT us to be successful. When it was first suggested that perhaps Port might try for a more challenging league... the "league" resorted to legal proceedings to stop it. Then, when granted the second licence, all sorts of constraints were placed on the club, including the Ethelton farce. Now that we're in a position of wanting to improve our reserves team to improve our chances of higher success... again, there's complaints.
