How does this work with taxes?? Do you have to pay taxes when making income from side hustles? 😬

yes you do! you would report it as income from a business, it can be a little bit complicated so I recommend doing additional research on this! KZbin for example provides a 1099 as a contractor employee.

As a woman it's really easy to make friends, as a guy not so much or nearly impossible. The other major factor is that it depends on the city, some cities are for all purposes totally impossible for guys to make friends, very 'cold' cities

This may be way too niche for this channel, but would you consider making a video about doing taxes as a KZbinr or even side hustle money? I did Doordash for a long time and would track my miles for the tax deduction. I'm assuming you take your stuff to a tax professional, but even telling us what to expect to bring and maybe what they look for or something! Idk, that would be cool! I got monetized last year and while I didn't bring in a ton of money and kept it all in a separate account, I am dreading dealing with taxes lol.

That’s all fair! It’s definitely not too complicated but I’m also no expert and don’t want to give anybody incorrect or misleading advice haha. I definitely recommend reaching out to a tax accountant if it stresses you out. I’ve had small businesses in the past and have always used turbo tax. Just do your best to keep track of income and expenses over the year and it’ll really help simplify it for you. You can also buy quick books, integrate that with your bank acct that you use for YT, and then that integrates with turbo tax which helps simplify a lot as well. Hope that helps!!

How did you learn how to edit so well??? Could you make a video about that? I started a KZbin channel that was like just “work with me” videos and I hated editing… all the audio, sound effects, levels of audio, file exporting… it was a lot! I feel like I’d only do one if I didn’t have to pay for any songs, etc. It’s so many steps … I dunno maybe it’s not for me. I’m just so impressed with how people just “pick up editing” quickly! How did you do it??

I pay attention to things I like in other people’s videos and try my best to learn how to do those effects. It is very time consuming though. This video took me quite a while!

Great ideas Jess! I have found there is a boom in mid-day dog walking/letting out because many people got a dog or 2 during the pandemic (working from home ) and many are now returning to the workplace so there is a need for this. You can schedule several between 11:00am and 2:00pm each day and charge $15 to $25 dollars flex. It’s a great way to make up to $100/day. ❤️🌞🙏

Totally agree! I would absolutely be using a service like that if I wasn’t home to be with my dogs. Though I’ve considered it anyway because sometimes it can be hard to get out and walk my dogs with a baby.
