I quit 8 months ago. I've saved $2400, but gained 50 lbs. May end up with diabetes. Not sure what's worse.

Forget the smoking... we're all just going to gloss over the fact that he put mustard on top of peanut butter? Gawl-lee folks...smh😅

I miss Jerry Reed, however I DON'T miss cigarettes. Just being around someone smoking makes me cough and choke. This coming July will mark my 3rd year tobacco free. Praise the Lord!!!

Comparing people like Chet to Merle is like comparing Chuck Yeager to the Wright Brothers. Sure, Chuck broke the sound barrier, but without the Write Brothers, he would have been walking. Merle Travis was the pioneer of this style of picking. Without him, there would have been no Chet Atkins or any of the rest.

My mom started smoking with her sisters and brothers as a teenager in germany after the war - all of the movie stars and musicians smoked - it had to be cool. My first three years of life she often carried me around on her hip with a cigarette constantly in her mouth. After my sister was born i slowed down a bit on MY second hand smoking. In the late 80's or early 90's mom was told she might have a spot on her lung. She put those nasty things down and never picked them up again. In 2013 she had a headache. Couldnt put words together. Dad took her to the ER. She had two brain tumors and a lung lesion. They gave her less than three months. Dad woke up on the floor with smelling salts being waved under his nose. I had cut clothes off of many people in EMS and had never seen an expiration date on anyone. I set up appointments through the Cleveland Clinic. After 15 days of low dose whole brain radiation we waited, -- and waited. She got lucky. The tumor was gone. Her copd and other issues caught up with her as well as dementia problems after she broke her hip and had a hip replacement. Anesthesia? Stroke? Nobody knew. She lived 5 years, one and a half months after the initial diagnosis. The last couple of years were absolutely terrible. Wouldnt wish them on anyone. Smoking cigarettes these days with what we know about those damned things is abdolutely foolish. I have diminished lung capacity from smoking as an infant, and firefighting. Mom would tell anyone who would listen to stop smoking NOW.

Whenever some doorknob tries to tell me John Mayer is the greatest living guitarist, I point them to videos like this. And then I punch them in the throat. Get that nonsense outta here! Guys like Jack and Tommy (and Richard Thompson and Charlie Hunter and JD Simo and David Grissom and Eric Johnson and Josh Smith and Greg Koch and on and on and on) are in a whole other class. Great stuff.

I'm not sure if Nokie was aware this was getting uploaded to KZbin, but this is not something you see everyday amongst famous people. A video just randomly walking in the house and filming them.

I've heard that It's not Tobacco that kills you, it is the additives they put in it? Supposedly even has health benefits if not poisoned? IDK, anyone ever heard this? Heck, they've put poison in everything we eat.
