By the time this video ended I could have actually gotten up and done at least one push up. 😂 Yet I stay seated. 😂

Hi, While walking today a rusty nail on the sidewalk impacted my tibia. I fell and hurt my patella (which has a meniscus tear) and my tibia is impacted. I could get up and walk. What would you recommend - just standing on my feet the whole day? That's what I plan to do. The pinky side of my ulna as well as my ring finger are impacted badly too.

Gatekeeping information behind a paywall is the reason things are changing. Do most know there is no legal obligation to having a certification. It’s a cash grab and all so we can have an app but not one video that goes into the depths of the back squat, how and why it looks different for many and how the opt model states to never let the knee pass 90 ° If I pay for it. At least make sure years of research are correct.

Yes, you noted early in the video the hang-up people have on "cardio". As a consistent resistance trainer and NASM certified personal trainer, I like to get into conversations on cardio and give the following example--say someone notes he/she can ride a bicycle 2 hours...3 hours...100 miles...whatever. I ask that person to start performing full ROM (hips, knees and ankles allowing) body weight squats...for 2 hours! That person will be spent and gasping on the floor in something more like 2 minutes. OK, so the legs are tired, so now I suggest starting bench push-ups until failure. Next I suggest a TRX row until back and arms are spent. Finally I might finish with a body weight good morning and maybe also a body weight hip thrust until the muscles used are fatigued. Now repeat again...1 or 2 more times--heart rate red-lined throughout, cardio needs address, and muscles throughout the body used. That workout will still be nowhere near 2 hours, and every major muscle group (and synergists) will have been worked--fending off sarcopenia and bone loss as an added bonus. If that person later has the energy to enjoy a bike ride, then more power to them to go do that as well.

Overcoming ambivalence starts with clarifying your values and taking small, decisive steps toward alignment-action breaks the cycle of doubt.

How does pes planus happen? My babies both had perfect arches and then suddenly I noticed they had pes planus. I know one of them as a kindergartner/first grader was hit in the cervical spine by a hard laser sword and he was in terrific pain from it. Wonder if that caused it? I am not sure what happened to my older son who had perfectly arched feet. Was he hurt too in the cervical spine at some point and I did not know? Wondering now. Were you hurt too Rick as a kid on the cervical spine?

I’m studying this right now. My feet does it too, big problem for training now. More prone to injuries than before being that I’m in my mid 30s now.

This definitely needs to be removed/updated! As stated in other comments, his back is clearly arched, ribs protruding...this is more of a "what NOT to do" video for form.

Hi. Thanks for this video. I don't suffer from this myself but using neoprene exposes one to chloroprene which is a "likely carcinogen". So, it's more than dermal and GI issues. I hate to hear about the degradation of sperm and egg quality in modern life and the steady increase in birth defects, learning disabilities, and emotional issues in children/adults. Is waist training worth it looking at the costs? Let's accept a trained core and focus less on aesthetics aka looks. Take care, be well.

Helpful for when you assign at home workouts etc or something for them to do on the off days. Not AI for me just videos. What type of AI does nasm have now? Favorite Cert btw ❤

Noticed this was helpful when I was working hard labor 8hrs on a dock. Ate regular pro/carb/fat meals, but at times would have some sugar or fruit and was helpful. But you really burn it off because you’re just sweating the whole time

This so timely for me. I do find myself asking my clients, “what do you feel?”. Especially in a hinge movement and lat pull down. It helps me to better cue them. Just had it today in the hinge movement.

NASM could offer more in each certification, but instead, they try to rack up more money by watering down CPT with irrelevance like MET (metabolic equivalent) formulas, which are too abstract and broad for practical for self-assessment and autonomy, encourage a reliance on trainers and ignore consumer technology that provides superior, easier, safer metrics Consumer wearables (Garmin, Apple Watch, Fitbit), are easier, safer, and provide better results for individuals to track their own progress and make informed decisions about their exercise routines. Instead, NASM places heavy emphasis for dependence on trainers for basic assessment limits clients' self-reliance to measure the effectiveness of their workouts. Then they sell more programs, needless credentials like Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Nutrition Coach Certification (CNC), Nutrition Coach Certification (CNC), rather than focusing on practical relevance in the CPT program.
