Great Video @Sean!! I lived in this area from 1966-1973 up in Lawson. I have always loved the area. Visited a few times as an adult. So you mentioned the Glory Hole...That was the Richest Square Mile on earth. Back in the 1860's this was the area that gave up its riches in Gold and it is a huge site to see. Thank you for the views of my area growing up and oh my wish has it grown in the 25 years since I drove through last. Blessings

It seems to me as a child I remember an image of dancing saloon girl advertisement or something in dress fishet stocking and some mention of the Glory Hole Mine and it was gold whole and black...Anyway to go visit or something. I may have pulled that out a few months ago going through Mom's things but anyway, Definitely a place of my fondest memories growing up, Lawson, Empire, Georgetown, Dumont, and Idaho Springs. I still keep in touch with several people. I went on Google instant street view and my old house and cabin still stands.

Happy Friday. Here's something I read specific to Boulder. They can def make it more burdensome: "Local governments still have their say Local rules will still apply, however. With parking, for example, a municipality can require a new parking spot if a driveway, garage, or other place for ADU-related parking doesn’t exist - or where there’s no parking available for the ADU and on-street parking is prohibited. Historic districts can still intervene. Municipalities can limit the construction of ADUs less than 500 square feet and more than 800 square feet, ADUs larger than the principal home, and multiple ADUs on the same lot. They can say “no” to motor homes and the like. They can require statements from water and wastewater services that confirm sufficient service for the ADU. Most importantly, impact fees and similar development charges are still on the table. That can be a big deal, depending on where you are. In Boulder County, there’s a town that hits ADUs with a $65,000 fee to hook into the existing home’s existing water and wastewater lines. Lyons, in contrast, charges nothing for that."
