If you like what’s already happened to California, you’re going to LOVE what’s happening to Colorado right now.

People who moved here anytime after 2012 were too late. I have lived here since 1993 and I'm planning on leaving for retirement.

I grew up in Boulder, lived in Denver for school, and now live in Broomfield. Especially the climate stuff is true here, but I'm a rainy weather person so I kind of hate it. I'm not a very outdoorsy person either so I don't care much for mountains or wildlife. As far as traffic goes... yep, that's what happens when you design a country for cars rather than an effective transit system. RTD is okay-ish but woefully inadequate.

So glad you mentioned how the food sucks. Which is hilarious, because they consider themselves a foodie town.

The dryness in Colorado is no joke. Just got back from a vacation in high-humidity Thailand and my body hasnt been able to adjust back. Skin peeling and sore throat every day. Also as someone who's lived here for over 20 years, I can confirm that the points made in this video are all valid and should be taken seriously before moving here.

I go to hole in the wall spots in Aurora, because Denver food truly does suck.

Traffic sucks, but only certain routes and certain times, which stinks for all of you who are GPS dependent. Stay off the main routes, like 6th ave, or one of the interstates, and you can usually keep moving. Traffic hasnt been good the entire time ive lived here. 1989. The timing and the choke points have changed, but its never been "good" during commute times.

Regarding wildlife, you forgot to mention that we now get to worry about wolves in the mountains. Thanks to all the voters who don't spend much time in the mountains.

Food tastes bland at high altitudes because lower air pressure and moisture effect taste sensitivity. The same reason why airline food sucks. Water also boils at a lower temperature, so things like coffee don't brew properly. People like spicy food like green chili because they can taste it.

Disagree. I've been all over the US. There's good food throughout Denver. Only thing I agree with is that it's definitely not a late night, NY/Euro-type food scene. Hardly anywhere serves food after 10 pm, except the normal fast food places. It was better before Covid, but not enough peeps are willing to work the night shift anymore.

Living in Denver is too expensive, and there are too many people in such a small space. The traffic sucks and so do the roads. Since we pay a lot to register our cars, you would think that our roads would be great, but they are not. When you are driving into Colorado, you can always tell that you are in Colorado because the roads get worse once you cross the state line. New Mexico is a poor state, and their roads and highways are a lot better than ours, considering that Colorado is one of the richest states.
