Dave, I figured out how to use that formula correctly. It’s not 100%, but it’s not far off. It’s within 7% out 2000 miles. At least when I use the Pythagorean Theorem and assume everything is taking place on a perfect sphere with a 4000 mile radius and the horizon is always at sea level.

Why does the horizon rise to eye level no matter how high you go and how does water always find a perfect level and will remain perfectly still on a spinning ball? Not a flat earther just have some questions. For all I know Admiral Bird could be correct in saying it's hallow. The one thing a lot of even photographers get wrong is the fact that mimicking the field of view is not the same as actually adding the focal length. because if pixel size is the same, actually having a larger sensor with a longer focal lens will give you a higher resolution than a shorter focal lens with a crop factor so even though the field of view is the same, the resolution is not

Great video as always, Dave. As a long-time photographer, I've always found the "but the shadows!" nonsense about the surface photos to be especially stupid. In fact, while watching this video, I took a short break and went outside. It took me all of 30 seconds to find some uneven ground where shadows from rocks and plants weren't parallel, and in fact were going off in different directions. That dishonest jerks like Bart won't take 30 seconds to look around their own yards is the biggest condemnation I can imagine.
