I would also add two more songs: A Secret Place by Karen Clark Sheard and Alabaster Box by CeCe Winans. In my opinion, gospel music just doesn’t create songs like these anymore. Both have a bit of a classical undertone, especially A Secret Place. I can even picture a song like that in an early Disney movie. Back then, gospel music often drew inspiration from classical music, but that’s not as common these days.
