Thanks for this video.. Just the video I needed. Been a fan of the channel. Like many others, I find myself guilty of spending countless hours learning complex theory but not knowing how to apply it. I’ll start learning more songs and building my repertoire.

Nah seriously tho I’ll never forget I learned one song and I was determined to learn it in every key or atleast the main progression 1,5,6,4. I spent literally some days 3/4 hours just working on that in every key til it became comfortable . It paid off but I realized that I only knew one song 😂😂. Spending most of your time learning songs definitely is the most important thing and hearing/Being around musicians much better than yourself.

Yooooo! Thanks sooooo much for this video! As I’m getting back into playing piano / keyboard, this information you just dropped in regards to practice for hours is what’s needed to get better. Again, thanks for this and God bless!

Good stuff... If you have 6 hours a day to play the keyboard. If you have kids, college homework, and or a job that time is already sliced... I remember almost purchasing the course but when I heard that you have to spend so much time that most didn't have, I went with a course that more so work with my schedule (Sean Wilson, and or pretty simple music). However, this school is Great for those who have the time.

Honestly it doesn't matter what teacher you go with. What we're saying is that when you look at the greats/virtuoso musicians they spent (at some point in their life) hours & hours everyday. There's not a single teacher out here that can make you a great musician without you putting in the time.

Also I have kids and a wife, am on staff at my church (full time), run a music school and still try to have a personal life outside of that and still find time a few times a week to practice for 3-6 hours per day. Sometimes that means waking up at 5 or 6 am to practice before anybody is asking you for things or staying up till midnight after the kids go to bed to shed. We make the time for the things we really care about. Blessings!

@@thegiftedhandsmusic You are right! Being great at your craft takes sacrifice. I hadn't saw it from that point a view before. Really appreciate your response and I will definitely have to put in more work for sure! Thanks for the response!
