For adjusting the hand brake like you did in the video, my hand brake rear left wheel is loose, the one on the right is good, i lift the rear car both wheels in the air and applied the hand brake and rear right wheel is really strong checked by hand if i can move it , but on rear left i can move it by hand, so i think this is what i have to do, to adjust like you did, is that means because hand brake is loose for that wheel is normal foot brake loose as well for that wheel? And does need brake bleeding after this or just adjust and good to go?? Thanks. Nice video

Hey Jason, good to meet ya buddy. I enjoyed the video and it was pretty straight forward. I do want to ask though if I could get your advice on something. I have a 2005 Cadillac SRX 4.6L and the E-Brake not working almost got us killed about a month ago out on 23S in Kentucky. The mountains aren't anything to mess with and the brakes are literally life or death here, more so than in the city (Columbus, Ohio) where I am from. So I have the parking brake not engaging at all in Drive and this was an issue where the passenger's side brake line failed toward the back and we had to swing in a parking lot full of people going out 45mph, circling the lot and honking our horn until it began to get attention. *******I have been trying to figure this out and have literally no one to help me. Yesterday I started it up, held the brake in and shifted to drive and pressed in the E Brake and let up off the regular brake - the car rolled with no grab from the E Brake, but it held (although lightly) in reverse. Anything you can tell me to help me would be greatly appreciated. The Front Passenger's side also has a rupture in the brake line right behind the wheel on the inside of the engine cabin that I can't seem to get to with a cutter to put in a section of brake line and the caliper on that wheel is also not engaging at all. Anyone you know in the area that could help and any advice you can offer would be great, buddy. What you think? Have a great day, brother!

Now let’s talk about the bleeding procedure. Do you bleed them with the calipers parking brake engaged or disengaged? Also…….. One of my calipers. Drivers side only. Is pulling in air. It is not leaking fluid but it is sucking in air for sure. I know this because I have a sealed brake bleeder that’s open. No air is coming into the threads. It’s hooked up to a long 3/16 line that’s attached to the bleeder. It runs……back to the master cylinder. I have both rear calipers set up this way. The drivers side keeps pulling in air and the passenger side doesn’t. Neither leak fluid. As for the parking brake. As long as you do it empty and off the car. It’s easy to get that 1/16th engagement. I found the parking brake easy to get right. But I can’t get it to bleed the air out. That one side makes for a very soft pedal

I was trying to find the stainless ones on your website, but your website sucks. Looks like it was made in 1995, hard to navigate and find stuff. Not to mention the manifolds I was interested in isn't even listed in the Buy it now, but shows up in the picture... 🤔🤷♂ Guess I'll just get some off Summit...

It looks like you're working on a '55-'59 Chevy truck. I'm installing a remote system from Johnny Law Motors. It only uses one hose and the fitting they give for the master cylinder lid had bolt threads. I had to use a pipe thread tap and a pipe fitting to prevent a leak. The master cylinder lid finish was so rough, I had to sand it. I'm going to glue the gasket on with contact cement because the lid is flat. It comes with a brass plug for the "extra" hole in the bottom of the new reservoir that I had to add a small o-ring to inside. Last thing, There is no air bleed hole in the new reservoir. What the hell? That should work just fine. NOT! I'm drilling a .020 hole in the side of the cap.

Will this work for a conventional car setup that needs a return line to regulate vapor lock? Also, I heard that rubber lines past 1 ft total pose a risk. Do y'all sell this in metal hose configurations?

How does this unit come apart? I need to get the turn signal switch out but the black shroud around the upper section of the column has a flange that won’t allow the switch to be removed once the three screws are out. How does that black upper shroud come off? Thank you.
@edwardvalencia29116 күн бұрын
I just replaced my switch, it will come out using thin small screwdriver. Mine went bad and would make turn signal come on front when brakes were pressed. I bought replacement from TRQ on Amazon and new one fits also snug, but lights work as they should now.

To begin - I'm an auto mechanic MORON. I state that upfront to establish the FACT that I purchased NOTHING on my own. CPP Techs provided THEIR reccomendations for EVERY part purchased. My car is a 1966 Chevy II Nova 400 2-door hardtop with COLUMN SHIFT. The original steering column WILL NOT WORK. There was NO notification of that in the part description when I purhased it 12/6/22. (I note that a warning has been added since that time.) The posts below confirm CPP's position that it would work with a column shift 7 months ago - approximately August of 2023. That is 8 months AFTER I made my purchase. Nothing regarding the steering column is shown or addressed in this video. My mechanic has struggled mightily trying to alter my stock steering column to work with the CPP 400 series box. We are throwing in the towel. I will attempt to return the box, but have serious doubts CPP will permit a refund. Purchase this part at your own RISK.
