What I'm curious about is How was Robert allowed to shoot the camera? That's always been something that's strictly controlled by the Unions on a Union set! And Columbia IS a Major studio and signatory to ALL the Union contracts. Just because a movie is shot in Mexico that wouldn't negate the Union Contract for Cinematographers. Would someone please address this?

In the widely circulated article 'The Photographer Who Captured The Birth of Hip Hop' which appeared in 'The New Yorker' magazine, all of the photos snapped by puerto rican joe conzo featured FBA artists and FBA artists only. If latinos/puerto ricans were there from the beginning as they claim, why weren't and why aren't there any latinos/puerto ricans depicted in any of joe conzo's numerous photos?..

American music forms: Spirituals, Blues, Ragtime, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Bluegrass, Folk, Rock n Roll, Doo-Wop, Soul, Funk, Disco, House and of course RAP AND HIP HOP all enjoy well documented African American roots coupled with undeniable African American influence---whether directly or indirectly. Latinos -- Puerto Ricans particularly -- please explain how you co-created or co-invented yet another installment in the legacy of Black Musical expression known as Rap and Hip Hop, yet didn't co-create or co-invent or contribute to any of the elements of the 14 or so African American music forms that existed before it? Or why you were nowhere to be found and absent during the creative and inventive foundation outlining the forms of African American musical expression, brilliance and greatness throughout, or even prior to the previous 14 or so African American music forms mentioned above and then all of a sudden--out of nowhere, you folks came along and co-created and co-invented Rap and Hip Hop 50/50 half n half (which is the utter nonsense being pushed by Dr. Derrick Colon, Fat Joe, The Radical Latino and numerous others)---it just doesn't add up---it makes no sense. Make it make sense Latinos.

It's not a street thing. It's a black thing. Proximity to black people doesn't give you a right to claim a culture you did not create. When Charlie chase became a dj, there was no such thing as hip hop. What group of people was pushing thIs funk and soul street culture? It was FBA.

Very Deceptive language trying to give the impression that Latino's were co-creators at the foundation of Hip Hop and that is not the case. They did not CREATE the Culture. Hip Hop Is: DJ'ing, MC'ing, B-Boy Dancing, Fashion, Graffiti and BLACK CONSCIOUSNESS AKA Knowledge of Self. This is ALL Documented.

No one is trying to remove Latino's from Hip Hop. That is impossible and stupid. For the record however BLACK FBA Americans CREATED Hip Hop and that will be the record FOREVER. We will not allow what happened with Rock & Roll to happen with Hip Hop.

I'm trying to remove them! What did they do beside latch on to our creation and take credit for something we made??? They didn't even like hip hop during its inception, they actually called it the "Moreno jungle music " or 'monkey music" but when it got popular they wormed their in about the same time breakdancing was losing its popularity with blacks and about to die but they kept it going. Now they try to label themselves as co creators of the art form... yeah right! FBA are the creators no one else!!

It's true, we used to all be together and the labels started trying to segment Latinos off from Blacks in Hip Hop. For the record I think that this organized LIE that Black American FBA are not the CREATORS of Hip Hop is a part of it. People are trying to say that Black people are saying Latinos were not there and that is not the case.
