Robert Rodriguez - Ten More Minutes: The Anatomy of a Shoot Out

This is the second installment of Robert Rodriguez's 10 Minute Film School. Here he shows how he was able to storyboard his film Desperado using a video camera. He uses a simple mini-DV camera to figure out which angles he will use for the film.

What I love about Rodriguez: he shares his knowledge with everyone and inspires. As Arnold sais in his 6 rules of success: Give back, and that's what he does and this is the reason he is the most sympathic director in my opinion.

It's quite funny because that sequence at 6:50 was the inspiration for the scene in The Matrix where Neo and Agent Smith both run out of bullets in the subway :)

I have great respect for the man, but for me his movies only work in pieces, not as a whole. The only exception being Sin City, that movie is damn near perfect.
