Season of Discovery: New Rune Brokers & Massive Material Gains

I definitely didn't want this earlier in sod, but now it's fine. Going around the world getting the runes was a fun way of exploring the world and doing quests that was very rewarding. But we most accounts are now are alts or like 6th alt it's quite frustrating spending the extra time on runes rather then leveling. Also it's good for new players to sod that they can catch up quicker. If they use runes or similar in a new version of wow, I definitely want it to be that you need to gather them like it's been in sod.

Adding the rune brokers in the game has been a huge a W. I rolled an alt and the players i ask have said they either came back after a long break or are brand new Sods been out for over a year this change was needed!

I unintentionally picked up the mage rune for the Dark Riders. A questchain I do on every toon. Even with the rune equipt it's allowing me to do the questchain. So Far anyways. The 7 item turnin and the final quest are a nice chunk of xp, and some coins for your trouble as well.(plus the 300% gold bonus triples the payouts),at lower levels allowing you to skip most of the 1-20 starter content.

@kaghoegaming you an now have level 10 summoners with the coffin rune + soul harvesting rune, makes it super simple and quick to populate the world with summoners

Starting zones are going to be a hoot. Everyone wearing trash greys imbued with super powers lol. And Azeroth Commerce provides level1 rings for the ring enchants. I think we need the rest of our rune slots. Neck and shoulders. Make em special. No new runes, but you can fill the neck and shoulder slots with any rune not in use. My two freebies would be Raptor Fury and Beast Mastery.

I think this is messed up. Season of Discovery should be all about exploring the world, not pandering to demanding players on the forums. The reason why I am irate about is is because I am the type of guy who likes to do outdoor quests with other players, especially when it comes to rune acquisition but now I will have no one to group with. This is why I don't like QoL features in WoW or any MMO, because it hurts players like me who want to experience the world with other players.

You can still go get all the runes like they were intended if you want to. Just ignore the vendor and it’s like nothing changed

@joshuabergeron9731 I still have a problem with that because no one else will be out in the world getting runes. My complaints are beyond my individual situation (unlike entitled players demanding QoL changes on the forums) but instead I care about the health of the world.

I like SoD but I think it’s telling that they need to keep making it easier and easier…. To keep people playing, It was already WoW classic easy mode. It’s an old game that is no longer played as intended. Cheesing everything just makes the game boring.✌️❤️
