Kyosho just sayt back and waited for Traxxas to attempt a drift car, and said "now is the time" and made a better looking, better set up and cheaper entry level car with option parts that serious drifters would want.

Honestly I think its a game changer. For someone who has been wanting to get into drifting but wanting a setup like a comp version, things have just been tooo pricey. This price point has me all over this and all the adjustability with the chassis itself and the motor mounting option, Amazing. And the steering angle is great for an RTR.
@RoadsideRC6 күн бұрын
100% - this has the potential to be a great entry-level car. The one thing that worries me, you said wanting a comp setup....and I am thinking that is NOT what this car will be. Time will tell - but it certainly doesn't seem like the lightweight weapon that a lot of comp folks would be interested in.

I really love my two Fazer Mk2 cars. One of them is a chassis kit, which makes a REALLY NICE car , and is priced really competitively as well. If Kyosho comes out with a few versions of this car, with different bodies, etc... and among those versions is a bare chassis kit, they will most certainly sell me at least 2! I'm getting this car....definitely.

I agree im into the small micro drifters and it frustrating alot of options cost so much and them drifting right can be good or bad alot of tuning mods so much to get them slide right the only reason i dont get 1:10 scale drifters is room no were to run them there easier to work on have more options .

A cool idea when it comes out is to directly compare the d6 vs the d2. To see whats a better beginner friendly setup. Is it the cheap rtr or is it the cheap kit
@xx_dominator_xx58157 күн бұрын
Because me personally I'd probably be replacing the brushed system on the d2 but for many that might not be the case and the d2 could be more beginner friendly. Seeing as i a beginner for my first car got a kit and tbh it was a bit overwhelming at times.
@RoadsideRC7 күн бұрын
Interesting idea! I really am not sure that this directly competes with something like the D6 though. Kit vs RTR is a whole conversation in itself. My guess is most folks will cross shop this with the MST RTR, Yokomo RTR, Redcat RTR, and DC10 RTR. Good question though!

RWD RC drifting isn't for everyone - that is 100% true. The fun of drifting really unlocks when you get to do it with other folks and get into tandeming. It is a true challenge and very rewarding when done right. BUT - if you don't have a track near you or a good group, then something like an Arrma Infraction could be more fun in a big parking lot or skatepark.

What you really think about it like you said it's hard to tell from the video videos are there to make them desirable for us to buy. Cheers bud

@KingP3217 күн бұрын
@ lol always more money to make it the way you like.. lol. Gyros aren’t cheap, but based on price you show in vid.. this is an easy buy. Kyosho always wins with their licensed bodies too. Light kits over priced but should be next thing companies should be including as a standard.. I just picked up a rlaarlo for basically a kyosho price but it’s fully loaded CF brushless system with batteries and the quality feels more premium. How are smaller companies able to drive better pricing? Well no licensed body.. but for me I want that licensed body.. they need better negotiators for their licenses lol car companies should be paying them to make it and help promote their cars 🤣

Now, this is more like it! Regardless of some possible cons, at $240, this is likely going to be the go-to entry-level drift car. And, that body, just WOW! Traxxas went with the 4tec chassis and 'modified' it for drifting, but there were so many compromises, it is really just for someone who wants to try drifting. Kyosho, despite calling it a Fazer, has really strayed from the on-road chassis and given us a much more solid platform for drifting. Time will tell if Kyosho has pulled it off, so I can't wait for the review 👍

@RoadsideRC7 күн бұрын
It certainly doesn't have the "attack weapon" look of a fancy carbon fiber drift chassis - but that is also a nod to keeping the price down where you would want it. Can't always have your cake and eat it too! Don't worry too much about the brushed setup. They work great for drifting - and possibly even better than the non-sensored brushless setups that come in many of the RTR cars. I ran my Yokomo RTR brushed for a LONG time just to prove that brushed is OK for drifting. I honestly would rather the RTR come brushed and cheaper - compared to more expensive and non-sensored brushless...because we will all be replacing the motor and ESC at some point anyway.
