Hello Medusa - I was starting to wonder if you had moved on. To the moderator thank you for this I have been looking for way to connect deeper to her energy when she visits and what it is Ian to do with it . The only goddess that came to me was kali and she only stayed to guide me through my shadow work and to help me connect with the feeling that it’s OK to have feminine rage and anger as long as I expressed it in a positive way, but then Medusa came to me and I believe that her and I are connected within our experience, she came to me at the exact time that I became aware of how connected we were and she showed me her true story which I never come across before only the one that most people knew of her as this dark demon woman. She was actually a victim of envy, rape, and abuse. Envy is why she came to look like the pictures we see today . She’s actually a very beautiful woman prior to being cursed. So yes, I think she deserves a a little bit of anger and resentment I know I’d be pretty pissed off and I believe she may be showing me that I may have some resentment that I’m not aware of that. I need to connect to. She comes to me periodically and it’s been for a good six or more months that it occurs and coming across this post is her visits to me again. Since her first visit anytime I read or hear anybody speak the incorrect story and ill of her as a demon or evil. It triggers me into the need to defend her belief of our connection, only solidified when I realize that she then became a Gorgon, which is a type of mermaid, which is part of my Blueprint as a sea priestess per say in this life - I am deeply connected to the sea and the cetaceans as we heal each other. I look forward to learning how I can better communicate and connect use Medusas visit to understand why she has stayed so long

I connect deeply tone feeling of betrayal she felt as I had to connect with the feeling of betrayal by the only person I thought loved me, but that’s been the only emotion I’ve been able to process as I have no real clear memory just intuitive clues and hits as well as certain body sensation reactions to certain situations that started two years agony yes her energy is well how I see mine and it’s more of a smoldering lava that sits just within the route and sacral area. It’s a quiet, powerful anger as she doesn’t need to yell and scream and thrash about her energy itself will simply speak for itself when released. I choose not to look at the pictures of how she’s portrayed as I see her in my mind eye when I envision her during her visits and it’s actually a very beautiful yet edgy version and the edgy part is her caring that wound like a soldier shows off a scar, that is her mark if resilience

Medusa was a rape victim. And yet when people, mostly men for some reason, when they read her story they look over her pain and hypersexualize her as some…. Freaky woman down for anything, wearing barely anything, seducing men for fun. How dare they? That’s not who she was.. or is.. at all.

I have Medusa almost exactly on my ascendant in my natal astro chart. I can relate to her trauma although mine was emotional. I was supposed to be a boy but instead was the 4th girl so unimportant and expectations were low. Seen as an object never for the unique person/soul that I am. I continue to retrieve parts of myself that were lost by retelling my story. Of all things I can relate best with her stoicism, it's my saving grace turned into immense strength although I prefer calling it the Middle Way (a Buddhist term). Thank you for this video ❤

The Brady Tarot is a tough first deck but if you love it it might be doable. Beautiful deck and fantastic book. I'm kind of like you where I don't how much of a childlike side . I've been an adult my whole life 😅 but i did get kitten chops "playful heart Tarot " and it definitely brings out that child side to me. Just shuffling it and looking at the art makes me happy. People definitely use this one to work through childhood traumas or to connect with they're inner child . People think it's fluffy looking but it's also a hard hitter. 😅 Good luck!

(Hunker down for a story!) In Seattle, I used to live two stories up in an old building (at least old by North American standards, built in 1903). In this area of Seattle, I would typically see, every year, the local crows making their nests and getting particularly territorial and protective over their space. I'd even seen crows swoop down and chase passerbys! However, this was during a time when I was working about two hours away from this apartment - so I'd take 3 buses to go to work and back (about 16 hours of travel a week). This means I'd have to get up really early - I'd wake up at 5am to get ready and be out the door around 6am. Since it was fall/winter, it was dark. Street lights were still on, and and the sun is still waking up. So, I started walking toward the station, as I usually would. Barely a soul about, except maybe two other people about 20 feet away from me. I had my beanie and headphones on, walking toward the station, crossing the street. All of a sudden, I felt as if someone came over and hit me in the back of the head with their hand. It didn't hurt. It felt more like a little friendly tap. I lowered myself, startled and turned around - but saw no one behind me, just a rush of air above my head. The crow landed on top of a low building, not 10 feet away from me, and cawed once, looking at me. Not angrily, just watching. Got on my bus, and I'd do research about the crows being particularly territorial during this time - but I've never seen them do this so early in the day. Though, I did notice a crow's nest about 50 feet away from my apartment across the street, about a block away from where that happened. While I know crows can eat just about anything, I figure to help them out while they build their nests. So, I went to the store and bought a big bag of sunflower seeds (a favorite snack of my dad's, who passed away when I was 12. I always saw him with a pack of those). The next morning, I scattered the seeds along my windowsill. Came back from work and saw them all gone. Next day, I did it again. Again, all gone. I made it into my routine to scatter these along the windowsill every day, even weekends. Then, one day, I heard a caw. Very loud and clear at around 6am while I was getting ready for work. I looked outside my kitchen window and there sitting on the black street light wire amongst the trees, 5 feet away from my window. Cawing. He was wary at first, but I placed the seed on the windowsill and closed the window. Stepped away, and the crow flew on top, gathered the seed in its beak and carried it to the nest across the street. 🙂 Months pass, and when I am about to put the seeds on the windowsill, I saw a broken blue rubberband. (Again, I lived 2 stories up.) It wouldn't be much longer after that, that he'd come by with his girlfriend and then his babies when they were able to fly. Sometimes, on weekends, I'd just sit at my table with a book or my journal, and they would sit by the trees about 5 feet away from me, facing toward me as I read or wrote things in my journal. April comes, and the trees right next to my apartment, where the crows would hang out, had these beautiful blossoming flowers. I asked my neighbor, an elderly man, and he said that he planted those trees a long time ago (he was an owner of the co-op I was renting from). I asked them what kind they were - he said "Dogwoods!" 5 years later, I moved out to the Midwest and wanted to reconnect with a new deck. I saw the picture for the "Intelligence" card and immediately felt drawn to it. It made me miss my crow friends. I think you may have inspired me to get something to represent that memory for my next tattoo. :) I'm so happy that you still work with this deck, and I wasn't the only one who found a card to just speak so plainly and personal to me. I use it for both daily pulls and for equinox spreads. ♡

Thank you, thank you, thank you! LOL So beautifully described! I’ve attended multiple shamanic rituals but every time the drumming starts I become extremely anxious and frightened and have to leave; I learned to simply avoid those types of rituals. I do like lavender but do NOT like most other flower aromas; I adore all the woodsy scents, but then, I’m a deep woods gal. I won’t go on but, yes, I’m a maximalist, too, with the ‘right’ stuff … I just thoroughly enjoyed this chat. Again, thanks!

I’ve had this deck for a year or two; acquired it because I was diving deeper into magical spaces (Other Realms, The Unseen, Paranormal, etc). I’ve mostly used it with Josephine McCarthy’s tarot and land healing books and those spreads as a guide at this point. And wow. A great tool for connecting with and/or witnessing the subtle energies around us all the time. In fact, because of the resonance I feel for this work, I also recently obtained JM’s Mystagogus deck … they ‘feel’ quite different yet both tap into The Unseen. As someone else already commented, and I agree, I tend to go to these decks sparingly. On a separate note, just found your channel and look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you. Blessed Be.

Oh I *feel* that. I am deeply affected by the seasons and my environment. And as you said, nature always gives us something we can feel grateful for. I *dread* summer and I am not myself during May-August. I don't hate the sunshine at all (although my skin hates it), but the heat is something I've struggled with for many years, no matter where I lived at the time. For some reason, I just feel completely drained. I haven't been diagnosed, but I do share a lot of the symptoms of SAD in the summertime. As for what helps me, I've learned that as long as I am near water, my overall energy improves significantly. If I go a day without being in the water, I get that drained energy feeling. Pools, rivers, the ocean, anything that has to do with water, I feel rejuvenated. Just like how I feel during autumn and especially winter. What also makes me enjoy summer a little more is well, my cat. He really enjoys the sunrays... so much so, that he meows for my attention, specifically requesting for what we call "sun time" - which means he wants me to lay on the floor and pet him while he basks in the sun. Some may think I'm spoiling him, but sitting and looking outside the window with him just really makes my heart feel whole and I feel so grateful that I get to spend that special time with him. ♡

Thank you for sharing this, I'm definitely one of those people who has "bittersweet" feelings when this day rolls around. Or when any nationally-commeecialized holiday creeps up. I was raised in a cult during my childhood - and in this particular cult, we weren't allowed to celebrate birthdays or holidays. I didn't even celebrate my own birthday until I was 17! On top of that, estrangement has always been seen as a taboo thing. There always seems to be this implication when you're estranged from anyone, especially your mother, it's unfathomable. So when I was becoming more open to my spiritual journey as a green witch, much much later in life, I found that celebrating the seasons just made so much more sense and it also made me feel so much happier. To make these particular days suck less, I have found that making my own traditions on Mother's Day (or Matron's Day) and Father's Day (Patron's Day) makes it feel like the day regains its purpose and meaning. I don't really worship or follow any deities (kudos to anyone who does, though!), but I do take the time to celebrate and reflect on the feminine or masculine on those days. ♡

@thewitchofbeesandbones Thank you for saying that! It's really helped me navigate through the estrangement with my mom and the loss of my dad. I think it is not only healthy but essential to have our own ways to respond to the cards that have been dealt to us. ♡

That's such a beautifully realistic and practical view of death. Being able to converse like that with your family at such a young age must have been so affirming. My spiritual journey is still going, but it has been so empowering for someone like me, since I have not been as blessed as some when it comes to family and even friends. Loss has played a huge part in my life and I still mourn for those that I lost either to death or to estrangement, whether naturally occurred or not. My father was my best friend and one of the few family members that I was able to trust. I lost him when I was twelve - I'm in my mid-thirties now. But it's just like you said - it's part of the cycle. It's another season. Seasons are meant to be celebrated and so should life. While my life has been a lonely path, animals have always taught me a great deal about loneliness and an even greater deal about loss and death. I'm so grateful to live in a world alongside with them. ♡
