Today is a bit of a heavy one folks. I discuss a bit about Medusa's mythology, and how I work with her energy. #medusa #crone #witch #solitarywitch #naturewitch #bonewitch #snakewitch

Thank you for this. She deserves Grace Compassion And she deserves to be a viewed as a Goddess and Diety, as she was a sacrifice. Thank you for seeing her and giving her space in Reverence, Honor, and Respect. She did what she had to. There is so much honor in that. So much courage So much strength Not because of Her goals, but because what was stolen from her, requiring her to Rise. To self preserve. To sustain. Her spirit is of the Gods She is a God in this space. She is empowered and upheld in the space of compassion and understanding. Thank you for seeing her so beautifully. 🙏🏼❤️🩹

Well now I wanna work with Medusa. I've honestly felt her nudging me for a while. What a beautiful, raw journey you've had with her. I love archetypes! I work with Baphomet and the Witches' Devil. 🖤

I appreciate the heaviness and realistic approach to this video. Not everything in our practices are sunny and happy but they are necessary or our growth. Im a Sex trafficing survivor on my healing journey and found this video to be very helpful and insightful. thank you so much!

I really enjoyed learning Medusa through your perspective. It causes me to contemplate with some bitterness how things are in the mainstream, a theme that vibrates even in our personal lives (victim blaming/shaming.) She’s made out as just a monster that must be destroyed; her truth concealed so the hero can be “good.” When in truth she was a beautiful priestess who was raped, disfigured and then murdered and they made a movie making her abusers out to be good guys and her murder a good thing. Even I thought so when I saw the movie as a kid. It disturbs me how this rings true in society, and even in families who protect abusive people. It disturbs me, but I take comfort in knowing that times are changing and slowly the truth comes to light. Your video an example. As always I appreciate your work.

Thank you so much. This was a rough video to make and then to post. I hesitated because of the heaviness of it, but it's authentic and needs to be said. Thank you for always be so supportive!

Care, Compassion and Understanding. This is why people are drawn to you. Fabulous video. Not to feel the emotion on her side would not be authentic, I feel. I have not looked into this before and am astounded how much she resonates with me and my experiences. I believe we see things when we are ready. Thank you Beautiful Soul for introducing her to me. 💛🌻💛

I have Medusa almost exactly on my ascendant in my natal astro chart. I can relate to her trauma although mine was emotional. I was supposed to be a boy but instead was the 4th girl so unimportant and expectations were low. Seen as an object never for the unique person/soul that I am. I continue to retrieve parts of myself that were lost by retelling my story. Of all things I can relate best with her stoicism, it's my saving grace turned into immense strength although I prefer calling it the Middle Way (a Buddhist term). Thank you for this video ❤

Hearing you talk about this makes me want to give you a hug, it's comforting to have a practice that validates and heals a very negative and sad experience. Personally I have a different kind of trauma but I do something similar where I see comfort in beings that experienced similar things (usually I turn to beings that were disowned or have a parent-like side... I don't want to go too much into it but generational trauma affects my life a lot). Medusa is a very important figure for those who had a very traumatic experience and were cast out for it. I also appreciated that you made it about the experience rather than the gender dynamic, some people make it more about the gender dynamic and force that on other people in a way that feels invalidating. Medusa has always been a very interesting figure to me for a number of reasons but it can feel difficult as a queer person who is attracted to people regardless of gender to find things on Medusa that is not "and this is why men are bad and women are oppressed, by the way". Firstly, Athena had a hand in victim-blaming her as you mentioned. Second, even if you only focus on Greek mythology, there are instances of men being taken advantage of as well (in at least one story by a woman too), and it's not useful to make the story about a gender war when it happens to people of all kinds. Medusa is about reclaiming a power, not taking it away, and I think you emphasized that beautifully in everything you said. Hope you've been taking care of yourself and Hail Medusa!

As a devotee to Medusa, I was/am always wanting to hear her stories. However, since I listen to videos through my headphones, the excessive tongue clicks were too much for my neurodivergent self.

interesting. i have an affinity for the myth of minerva (slightly different from athena). it's a shame that people are abused and then blamed for it even in this day and age. insanity, really. i'm drawn to stoicism, by which i mean the historic philosophy thereof which is slightly different from the definition one tends to find. it's a very practical way of living and joyful, really. no one who practices stoicism ever really becomes a sage, it's a goal.

I feel like a lot of people don't know of Medusa's original myth/s. She was born a mortal monster and two immortal sisters from Deity parents. I do feel sorry for Medusa, especially my main God being Poseidon. At this moment and time, I don't see her as a Goddess. I like how Medusa/Gorgon were used as Apotropaic (protection) images. The people who said that the head should have been Poseidons, to me is stupid because he's immortal but Perseus isn't..but thats art.
@thewitchofbeesandbones Жыл бұрын
Thank you for reaching out with your thoughts. I don't feel that she was born a mortal monster, but was instead turned into a monster. Art takes certain liberties for sure, but sadly, liberties are taken against individuals all too frequently as well.
@user-qh8fi7th9eАй бұрын
medusa is not a deity she is a mythological creature and there were 3 of them probably if we go by metaphorical perhaps she was a disabled person and could slither she wasn't a priestess of athena that fake myth was done during roman empire plz do not believe or take caution whatever you read from roman era because they twisted historical and not things
