I know you said you don't use your freestanding cooker much now you have an air fryer, but when finances allow I'm thinking of changing my freestanding cooker with electric coil hotplates for a glass cooktop, either ceramic or induction, mostly for the looks. If you had your time again, would you go for a cooker with a glass top or does glass get damaged easily and quickly look a nightmare? I bought the version of Ingenio that is induction compatible, in case I end up going with induction in the future. Thanks!

Thanks for your video and the time you put into it. It's appreciated. It eased some concerns I had about the Tefal Ingenio. I bought a set of Ingenio in Aus today (and some protectors!) because they're half price at the moment. I read reviews beforehand but didn't check out KZbin and was still a bit wary of a few things (non-stick in general, whether the Ingenio handles would detach & I'd be scalded etc). I live in a small space & want to get smarter about my kitchen storage so stackable pots & pans with a detachable handle are very appealing! My mum has Tefal non-stick frypans with normal handles. Hers range from about 5-15yrs old (she adds to her collection when they go on sale ;) ). She uses them on a gas hotplate but only ever uses silicon, wood or hard plastic/nylon utensils and she hand washes them. Apart from minor fading, they are in excellent condition with no flaking or chipping whatsoever (unlike the cheapie non-stick frypans I've had in the past). I'm heartened that the Ingenio handles seem sturdy and unlikely to accidentally detach when moving a hot pan and that they haven't chipped the non-stick surface. Tefal say the handles can take 10kg (20lbs) of weight but I was skeptical of that before your video. I have a tiny brush I got in a baby bottle cleaning set that I use to clean under the blade of my Thermomix-style machine. I suspect it may be useful for cleaning the nooks & crannies of the Ingenio handle too. Thanks again for the video!

Is it possible to install this on a nightlatch lock? If so, how?

I don't seem to be able to remove the backplate of the keypad. Came to your 'detailed' video to see just that part but you only say "I have already used that little tool to remove it" and the video skips it. It's my bad luck I guess but maybe for you to consider not leaving steps out, especially when this is a 19 minute video. Useful video for other though, good luck.

Hi Andy, You've done a wonderful job. Definitely convinced me to go and buy one of these and fit myself. However I have one of those thumb turns, inside the door to lock and unlock. So I'm wondering how I can fit the lock with those? Some thumb turns have a small screw at the side, however mine doesn't seem to have any threading for a screw driver. Could be just a pin? Excellent video! I can see that your door has the same safety mechanism as mine, where you have to lift the door handle before locking the door. I would love it if I could lock the door remotely - without me making sure that the handled has been lifted. It seems impossible, right?

Screwing in the door a device that is likely to only last a couple of years seems a bit weird. It should be possible to do the same without screwing in the door

Good review....it's hard to find credible and honest reviews on things as they're always long on flannel and short on candour. I searched for a review because I've been thinking about getting one of these for ages. It's not so much the money but more if I could afford the counter/storage space. Andy I need some help. I’m really struggling. 1st I got a thumb turn cylinder as I’ve a odd cylinder size and couldn’t get a double entry. Fitted that. Fitted u200 I’ve now a predicament where only my internal handle engages with the latch and only a key turn either side also operates the latch. Problem being the key turn doesn’t fully retract for the hook bolt and dead bolts. They do move but could do with retracting another 5 to 10mm which seems odd. A push of the handle retracts the bolts properly but as I 1st mentioned I’d be stuck out still in testing because the external handle doesn’t retract the latch because I have a particular spindle… I so want this to work somehow but I’m borderline boxing it all back up and sending back. I’m losing the will to live. In your video it seems your handle only does a latch and 1 deadbolt?

Hi Andy Love the video and help for installation. I just had mine installed following your steps. Im currently in a position where some idiot has pressed reset on the number pad and I am locked out. When trying to redo the set up I need the QR code fro the lock on the inside of the lock where I cant reach and my keys cant open the door as there is already a key on the other side where the mechanism is. Any suggestions? thanks

That's a really rough installation - just mounting the U200 over the existing locking mechanism as it doesn't sit flush with the door 🤷‍♂

Ordered one of these an hour or so ago and thought I'd try find a video on it. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, this thing looks an absolute beast. I've been wanting a food processor for a while, as it opens up so many more recipe options. The straw that broke the camels back was a recipe that requires grating 3 onions.
