This surgery is called SARPE. Surgical assisted rapid palate expansion. It’s to widen the upper palate for quality of life as well cosmetic. I don’t understand how some people say this surgery has minor pain post op. Maybe because I’m 33 and my bones are not as flexible but this was terribly painful. My stitches also got infected and I was cleaning thoroughly. I’m about to get braces in 3 weeks. Still not sure if it was worth it yet 😅. I lost feeling in my teeth and gums and it’s only now starting to come back. Surgery was April 3 and it’s now July 4th. I heard some people loose sensation for up to a year !

Genioplasty went wrong ,,I have underdeveloped jaws ,the doctor didn't inform me about that and did a genioplasty . He says genioplasty is a better surgical option ,buts that not true .he went for maximum vertical and horizontal advancement to match up my face proportional, the problem is now my mouth is in upward position and my chin is too downward,very rugged ,very broad ,too much prominent ,too much strong and my face is stretched due to maximum advancement,it's look bigger and longer than usual , it's almost 4 months after surgery ,the doctor told me to wait for 6 months the for the residual swelling to go,what can I do in this situation,in revision genioplasty what can I except?

In some of these videos I notice a difference to the position of the eyes and eyebrows. Where they used to cant downward, their position seems corrected in the 'after' pictures. Is this due to separate treatments that have nothing to do with the orthognathic surgeries, or is this a side-effect of maxillofacial treatment?
