Thank you very much for this video. i tried to test the example 11.1 with the thermomechanical fatique damage. i am getting the error: This error may be due to a mismatch in the Abaqus user subroutine arguments. These arguments sometimes change from release to release, so user subroutines used with a previous release of Abaqus may need to be adjusted. I think the Subroutine.for needs adjustments, because i am using Abaqus 2022. Any hints how to solve it?

Mr. Barbero, thank you very much for your instructive video. One thing I couldn't understand for plane stress analysis in Abaqus is that I obtain zero strain along z-direction (out-of-plane direction) but it must not be. For plane stress, out-of-plane stresses are zero but not the strains. I tried to extract the strain results by defining field outputs. But the strain along z-direction is still zero. I did not figure out this situation in Abaqus. I am grateful if you have any suggestion.

Hello professor, random question but related to safety factors, whenever you use any failure criterion, is the factor of safety just 1 - the value given in the output? Also when does one decide to have to use max stress vs hashin damage? Also are these parameters similar/the same or are they completely different?

Thank you for the tutorial, Prof. I have a problem that the module 'UgenKeyword.inp' cannot be found Prof. I use Abaqus version 2017 and Python 12.1 then I run it on notepad ++ but I cannot run it because the .py code cannot find the UgenKeyword.inp file, Prof. Even though I have placed UgenKeyword.inp and DDM5 write keyword block.py in the same folder. Can anyone give advice and direction to solve my problem Prof? Thank you

if there are 8 layers of 1mm and the applied force is 100N/mm the calculation should not be 12.5Mpa and not 10Mpa

Hello sir, In damage modeling using UMAT, the following error is coming.. ''Time increment required is less than minimum provided''. My model consist of more than one material. Once the damage reaches maximum value in one element this error is coming and other elements are not even reaching the peak stress.
