Hello Mr Barbero thank you for this video , i want just to know to simulate an initial push-out delamination (in the hole exit ) of an open hole composite laminate , considered as an inducted damage from the drilling process , then study the propagation of this delamination by vcct method in a compression test ?

hello Mr Barbero! thank you so much for this viedo.I just want to know how can I get the GI, GII, GIII in the BK model when in the step of intercation/contact property? someone told me to refer to paper, however, i have not got it. I just wanna get those parameters by experiment. but i dont know how to get? could help me ?

Dear Prof. Barbero, I have a question regarding composite modelling. We can use solid or shell modelling in our modellings. I did that actually. In solid we need to make partition and use material orientation in material section and define orientation in each ply. In shell you define in composite layup directly in abaqus. I just have a question. When we model using the solid we normally define material properties in the corresponding section (E_11, E_22, and etc). In shell you define material properties in each layup. So, could we conclude that the one in solid is laminate properties and in shell the lamina properties should be defined, since in shell we define layer by layer, but in solid we just input material properties as a whole. Thank you

The same in 3D and shell.

Dear professor what is the significance of opening reaction force vs opening displacement graph is it related to energy release rate like, if the opening force is high then the energy release rate is also high. Thank you
@EverBarbero4 жыл бұрын
Maybe it is possible to compute a relation between force-displacement and ERR but I don't know, maybe it is easier to see if in "Field output requests" and "History output requests" maybe you can find a variable that will give you the ERR.
@VivekDhimole4 жыл бұрын
@@EverBarbero Dear professor actually you plotted the graph between opening reaction force vs opening displacement in ex.10.1. in the delamination process, we mostly focus on ERR that's why I thought is there any main reason to plot that graph only instead of ERR calculation after analysis or they are related.

@@EverBarbero Thanks so much. I will try to lead my investigation in that line. I apreciate you answer because in my country is so dificult to find someone who works in that topics!

Hi, I start learning composite analysis by Ansys Workbench. If you know any related youtube channels like yours, I will be appreciative that share them with me.

Don't know, but why use workbench?

Dear Professor, Hope you are fine its a long time to see your new video. Your doing best for the student community. I have one doubt in Abaqus or Ansys generally software prefers first-order shear deformation theory. Like in Abaqus continuum shell element work as FSDT. So if someone wants to use third-order shear deformation formation (Reddy) what element should use or how it can be implemented (Is there any way to do it). Thank you
@EverBarbero4 жыл бұрын
I do not know if that element is implemented in Abaqus. Someone here I think found some difficulty when the elements are not perfectly rectangular. If you want more information about that I can try to find it.

@@EverBarbero Thank you for your reply, Dear Professor, Yes I want to know about it. Please clear how can it cover, is there any way or If it is possible please make a video on how UEL or UELMat subroutine can be model.
