This WW2 Game Is Doing Everything Right

I've been playing Post Scriptum (Now Squad 44) since 2018, and it honestly feels like a totally new game. The 20 player-count increase has just upped the immersion/chaotic/war-feeling factor, and many little changes have amounted to a lot. It's weird Alpine, because your videos got me into Hell Let Loose, but for reasons you’re vocal about often, I just totally went off it. And I played it for almost two years. S44 I moved away from because at one time, it was almost completely dead. Now, with Mercury Arts at the healm, the game has had such an insane ressurection, and suddenly it feels fresh and engaging, and has 6-10 full servers at any one time. What a comeback story. Great to see you playing it, brother.

01:13 that is PERFECT recoil pattern for rapid firing a 5" 1911 in .45; but even more impressive to me, is that is CORRECT reload doctrine, using your off-hand on the slide stop/release lever than your firing thumb after seating the fresh mag. I was a small arms and crew-served weapons instructor in the Navy and really appreciate when games get details like this right.

It is a lot more of a deliberate game, HLL is much more free flowing and more on the arcade side. This is more on the simulation side so take it slow, learn the logistics and the gun play has its own feel

Excited, because it was always the "better game" but had far fewer players. The game also frankly had some issues that are being sorted out, and now it's feeling new again.

I've just come back after a year long break. It is a great game but, Dang, I miss drifting Tigers. Yes, the armour update made tanks more realistic but far less fun for the drivers.

I got into both HLL and PS in mid 2021 and honestly loved the idea of both games but HLL had a much bigger player base and was going in a good direction whereas PS was just stuck and sitting there ideally. Now it’s the other way round.

for the frontline mod they should increase the tickets for the attackers a little bit . if the two teams are equal, the attackers, like 90%, always lose on tickets and they should increase the number of people that carry the same specialist . I am tired of new people picking sapper and not knowing what to do

The only problem plaguing it is the servers randomly shutdown, and rubber band lag. They need to get that fixed asap because the more people that play it the more lag they will generate.

Idk if this is something the developers can fix, but a lot of lagging and delay of markers on the map is something the server admins should fix. We had to upgrade our hardware to handle these issues. So far, there are less lagging and delays now.

What's really random...is that I brought post scriptum OVER HLL because I liked it better to begin with. but EVERYONE went to HLL so PS had no servers up for me to even play. Now we're coming full circle and I'm kind of pissed about it lol

@@AlpineSniper Initially I liked the Squad overhaul, but... after the novelty of 3d scopes wore off, I've found it unplayable. I play CS and have solid aim, but feel like you really can't do much in terms of movement in Squad anymore and expect to hit anything. I hate having to wait 20 seconds in the middle of a firefight just so that I can hit the side of a barn... I'll check out Squad 44.

One thing is certain, these devs are making HLL devs look really bad. The game is also a lot better graphically than it was a year ago. I keep trying to play games but I find it really difficult finding servers that aren't either full or completely empty and boring. I'll keep trying cause HLL just has me depressed these days.

@@AlpineSniper me jumping into a squad and all of a sudden I go from infantry rifleman recruit -> SL and I ask “I don’t know how to play, I’m new, how do I unassign that?” Response from squad “go and pull It outta your ass retard, learn how to play etc”
