We did similar "core" exercises, when I was playing (American) football. We would lie on the ground face up, and our coaches would make us lift our legs. Then, for more punishment, they would make us hold our legs raised a foot off the ground. And for even more punishment, they would make us spread and close our legs, only exactly when they said. It seems like torture, and it was. The thing is that I never had a broken bone playing sports. I think I dislocated a guy's shoulder though.

Now, this is not just dancing. You are actually using your feet as percussion instruments.

I love you Jean Butler, but should you not have started in part 1 with the warmup? Should that not be the VERY first thing that you teach anyone?

As I said, I am not a dancer. I am a carpenter. I am reminded of of how carpenters will walk on a 4 inch board. My teacher, used to joke about certain people being able to turn and wrap their feet around a 2 by 4 to keep their balance. All of this was while they carried lumber and tools and were working very hard.

It is sort of strange to hear Jean speak, as I have only ever just watched her. I like her voice though.

Jean Butler is the best, the most, the most beautiful, ever. It's not the guy who gets the credit. It is she. She is just so gorgeous to watch her doing her thing. It is like she is made of feathers.

I am definitely not a dancer. I liken learning to dance to the way that you learn music, though. You start by playing the piece really slow. Then, you gradually increase your speed, until you can play it REALLY fast.
@caseyphudson9 ай бұрын
It can be really frustrating, when you are listening to someone play a great song, but you are not that fast, yet. You have to be patient.
