So glad the money raising vid has comments turned on and can be SAVED. You SHOULD allow all of these videos to be saved and commented on so that you can actually interact with people. Anyone who spends time to watch these videos should at least have that much respect given to them or else they might become disoriented and crawl away towards the sea where they once again don't care about the conservation. You dig?

You’re trading one issue for another here as a bandaid because spaying/neutering pets is not the answer. Contrary to what most people believe, new evidence has found that ‘fixings’ pets is not good for them. It can cause a whole different set of issues such as long term health and behavioral problems. This is more true, the younger this is being done on the pet. Domesticated stray dogs are a problem due to humans being irresponsible and should not be taken out on these animals as a result of this. I’m not saying that these dogs should be allowed to run free destroying turtle nests, but if they’re allowed to do so, stricter rules should be put in place to discourage owners from doing so by not allowing them to let their pets roam free. This will also eliminate the over population of pets if owners were held more accountable for being responsible about what their pet does/doesn’t do. I get that there is good intention there, but humans don’t always get it right. I’m all for saving sea turtles, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of potentially making other animals suffer in exchange for that. This isn’t the answer. If we care about one animal, we should care about saving them all! We are causing these animals harm/problems! Let’s not be the ones who are contributing to more harm done to them. We need to do better!

Hi I don't know if this is any help at all I was just curious I've been doing a little research on what I thought was rocks but I'm finding I think their shells found that possibly they're being gardened I guess and I've been picking up rocks per se for this last year this just this last four times that I pulled over and looked at rocks not just in the river but on the side of the road I've gotten yelled at even at the food bank in Sumner Washington they called the police and told me that I couldn't do that I don't understand what is going on none of them will talk to me they just lash out at me and call me names and such so I don't know what to do all I know is the rocks look like possibly shells to me but I don't really understand any of this but I feel like my life might be in danger maybe you can help me understand too back off or what all I am doing is loving the rocks that I find I'm a newbie so it just goes to show you that I don't know what I'm doing but they do there's a lot of them involved in whatever this is I wish they'd let me know so that I can either move on or because I don't want to feel frightened every time I go rock picking maybe I can send you some pictures if need be text me and let me know thanks

sea turtle eggs are leathery and soft, they have a texture similar to rubber or damp suede. you'd certainly know the difference between them and a rock. they're also very light weight and as reptiles get closer to hatching the shells become dented and seem to suck in on themselves. this is because the hatchling inside is absorbing the yolk/eggsack inside the shell just prior to them using their egg tooth to slice through the egg itself. I wouldn't worry too much, but as far as sea turtle eggs go they are white, and round like a golf ball, and they are always buried under the sand. hope this helps from one south floridian to another.

So lots of the people that contributed to climate change have retired to Florida and bought lovely coastal sites for their retirement. And their houses are getting undermined and it is costing them their ill gotten retirement money to bring in sand for the beaches. How very very sad???? Now due to increased storms and storm surges, the weakening of the AOTL and simple sea level rise, the effect is accelerating. You didn't wake up when you were warned and earning your mega bucks and now you are paying the price.

Hi, this is a very good information. Light pollution is a very serious issue in Indonesia, as the growing economy, many houses are built along side the beaches. Can we download the video and put proper subtitle in Indonesian language so that we can use the video as education material? We hope more Indonesian aware towards this issue.

I use LPS lamps in full cutoff wall packs, Love the color. I think it's time to phase out white color LEDs for outdoor use all together, White LEDs are less efficient and are also bad for owls and bats.

Question: I am not anything near an expert, but wouldn't it help to build a sea wall out to sea. I know there was several areas that the romans build an artificial harbor only to have silt and such fill it making it a new area for farming, and home building. IF they build sea walls out of rock and concrete that would cause the water to not move as much, any sediment it carries would be dropped off shore. Also and sand eroded from the shore would mostly end up there. As the guy in the early part said, sand bars protect the shores and that protects the land.

Coasts shift, man should take that into account when building for a quick buck!
@roberthicks16123 жыл бұрын
@@antoniospanayiotou8619 There are ways to improve the shores, but it cost money and the people that buy that expensive land does not want to have to pay for its restoration.

What a great video! The pictures of old and new lights are very inspiring. I think that those red-lit buildings looked very beautiful and actually pretty cool, like being on fire! People living there should also keep in mind that amber LEDs are good for their health too, since they don't mess up the biological rhythm.
