Back in 1979 , the Bucs were magical. But it didn’t come without some struggles. They had key players Stargell , Parker , Foli, Garner , Tekulve, Sangellien, double trouble catchers Ott and Nicosia just to name some. They all contributed in some way to have made it happen. And it really speaks volumes to know for the fact that Baltimore had like at least 4 very good starting pitchers on their team, leading with their ace multiple Cy Young winner Jim Palmer.

Really hate to be the controversial comment here, but the cab driver had ample time to de-escalate the situation, and instead he chose to argue/yell at the other person. I'm not saying that entitles the other person to assault him, but when the dude said call your boss, he should've called him, and just let him yell at the boss because whatever. And then tell him to get out of the cab. But politely, and tell him you need to get on your way because you have a job to do. But instead he turned it into an ego battle. And you never want to do that, because you don't know how far someone's willing to go to defend their ego. Unfortunately this cab driver found out. I hope he does continue doing his work, but in the future practices de-escalation. It's not fair I get it, but when you add to it, it only makes it worse.

I had an ACL tear 16 years ago. The day I met the surgeon he saw my Pirates cap and asked me if I was old enough to have seen the 1979 Pirates. I said no, I was born a few weeks before the 1980 season started. He told me he was in his first year of college at University of Indiana and him and his friends finished their classes for the day and drove to Cincy to watch Game 1 of the NLCS. One of his friends was a Reds fan so that’s why they went.

I went with a group of other challenged kids - I'm legally blind - in 1980 to see those Pirates, traveled a couple hours. What I remember most about the game was even with my low vision looking with binoculars and seeing how massive Stargell looked at 1st base next to the San Diego runners and especially the umpire. I remember hearing about some of his massive home runs and wondering why Reggie Jackson got all this attention when it seemed like stargel was just as powerful. I was about 10 so didn't really grasp how New York impacts things, though I did know a bit about Reggie's personality and thought that might have a little to do with it even though I felt a superstar should be recognized regardless of how much they publicized themselves. (Edit: Padres swept a double header, I didn't really know about Ozzie Smith yet but it's cool I got to see him and wouldn't feel even if I don't remember them as much as the Pittsburgh guys.)

Ken Kratz is a piece of Trash. To put on a Press Conference and poison the state of Wisconsin so there would be no were to be a fair trial. He did it again at the Brenden Dassey's appeal trial at the Court house in Chicago where he has no say want goes on, it's was just a Smoke and Mirrors move by a P.O.S.!!!!

What kind of question is "would you have done anything different?" What COULD be done different, just letting him touch the gearshift and crash the cab? He got beaten to a pulp for doing exactly what we'd all do.
