IG Live: What happened when I was accused of shoplifting at my neighborhood grocery store AGAIN

This was an IG Live but wanted to share it because some people have asked for the full story. I am not mentioning the store by name. I believe the manager when they said it won't happen again. But I implore consumers to know their rights, and I encourage stores to teach their own policies to their workers AND dedicate loss prevention to actual loss prevention folks.

Your husband is a national treasure. I would never go back to that grocery store, once is enough. I was accused of shoplifting at a Burlington Coat Factory store, I will never go back. And good for standing up for yourself

Mediocre loss prevention amounts to poor customer retention. Surely they realize that, in that competitive industry, one false accusation over $40 worth of groceries will usually mean a loss of that customer and thousands in sales. I wouldn't go back. I don't like going in grocery stores in the first place. If it's not fast and easy, I'll go somewhere else.
