My DC jack was loose and power only worked when held a certain way. When I went to resolder the metal ring around where you solder came off. After soldering I now have no power at all. Is it because the metal came off and if it is how do I fix it?

I tried this step by step and it was helpful but I still get "no signal". I've tried with the av cables directly to tv and with an HDMI converter. When I do the converter I get the starting "ding" with Mario Kart but still a blue screen that says "no signal". I've also tried the RF cable and turning the console on just changes the pattern of fuzz on the screen.

I managed to clean a truly disgusting amount of dust out of my console, but it's still not giving my TV any signal either with the old coaxel set up nor the vga cable. And I know the VGA cable is still good as it's the same one I use for my GameCube with no issues.
@slippyfrogTV Жыл бұрын
i can almost promise you then its not a signal issue, you may have a dying AC adapter. if it powers on but wont send signal, buy a replacement adapter or find an OEM adapter and i promise youll thank me later. I've saved 4 SNES's from just doing this alone.

stopped by my parents place the other day and found a Cache of old systems, my old snes, my playstation 1 my xbox crystal clear edition. I turned on my super nintendo and there was no display so now i am waiting on my game bit to come today so i can open it up, my question is, Is there a lock on the ribbon cable you disconnected? I ruin A lot of my electronic projects because i am too rough on ribbon cables, so i was wondering is there a ribbon cable lock you have to flip up and how much force should u use when you plug it back in?

@@01hondascott did you ever figure it out?
@suluturnip2 жыл бұрын
1. Flux is used to clean oxidation from the surfaces of the work. This allows for successful wetting action. 2. Corrosion that was present should have been scraped off (very gently) before you tried to apply solder to the pin. You could have used an exacto or a fiberglass pen.
@J109692 жыл бұрын
3:40 that piece on mine isn’t coming out. Is there some trick to it? Do I need to pinch it in any particular spot?
@rumblebox_2 жыл бұрын
It should just be held in by two screws, but it should come loose if you wiggle it and pull it up. Sometimes they can be pretty stuck on there pretty tight.
@J109692 жыл бұрын
@@rumblebox_ I found out later models aren’t removable. Not sure what year Nintendo decided to switch the design but I have 2 snes systems, a ‘93 and a ‘95. The ‘93 comes off easily while the ‘95 does not.
