I tried this step by step and it was helpful but I still get "no signal". I've tried with the av cables directly to tv and with an HDMI converter. When I do the converter I get the starting "ding" with Mario Kart but still a blue screen that says "no signal". I've also tried the RF cable and turning the console on just changes the pattern of fuzz on the screen.

Only way to revert the Plastic back to its original color is to Submerge it in Hydrogen peroxide, and let it sit out in the hot sun for a couple of hours. Or if the weather is against you do the same thing but instead of hot sun, Lay it under LED UV lights and let it sit in that with the room dark

It should just be held in by two screws, but it should come loose if you wiggle it and pull it up. Sometimes they can be pretty stuck on there pretty tight.
