As a medical student, the first time I saw someone giving birth, my first thought was “wow, that just seems so primal”. Not to say that giving birth is disgusting or anything but rather that because we live so ‘aesthetically’ now it was just such a contrast to what I witnessed everyday and it felt very real but extremely different.
