Hi ! Been playing "agressive" mesmer for years now (Mirage and Virtuoso), only touching healing with Scourge, back then. Noticed that you do stick a lot to scepter/shield in your clips, and it seems to work just fine. Was wondering : since SOTO did bring the rifle to the boon Chrono builds meta, and that I don't have SOTO yet lol, is this config still viable today without it ? I do have Ipos I could also use off-hand if there's a switch needed, though scepter/shield seems just fine. Thanks :]

thnks for the amazing guide! how much is important to mangae the exact order of the rotation cause my mechanics are lacking :) also ranger is my favorite class so I dont mind trying and improving I do have some wrist problems and the ranger is pretty easy on the wrist so that's good

Thanks man! I am a long time player (just got my 12th bday present yesterday on my Guardian) and I have played on and off over the years. The last time I was playing was when EoD came out and I was maining Condi Renegade which was great at the time. I come back now and its DPS has been nerfed hard (the shortbow/mace axe build). The build had a semi difficult rotation that takes a while to learn so I was kinda gutted. But I just spent time learning this build and rotation and I basically have it down and I am blasting DPS again. You are the man !

ArcDPS doesn't work anymore in 2024. Just cause game to crash, every time.

Hey Connor just starting the game again (stopped playing within the first expansion heart of thornes). i got a ascended celestial set . just for open world completion etc. do u think this build will somewhat work even if i dont have the requierd set stats ? for some elites and even missions, even if i do less dps but have more surviavability?

With the recent balance patch on Tuesday Condi Renegade has gone from around a 51k (solo) benchmark to around a 47k solo benchmark. So, it ended up just being a slight nerf in damage in the scheme of things. Ideally, you'd now run 2 spears and swap between them when you swap Legends (with Torment/Geomancy on one set and Earth/Doom on the other). However, unless you really nail the timing of the weapon swaps you may end up getting better results just camping one spear like we covered in this guide (I personally did when I was testing it). Double Spears looks to be about a 1k dps increase in an ideal world so feel free to camp one spear to simplify your rotation for a minimal loss in DPS.

Spears need a monster nerf. They were supposed to compliment the weapons, they’ve basically replaced every weapon in the game in terms of min maxing. Snowcrows benchmarks are basically exclusively spear now. It’s kind of boring, hopefully nerfed soon

Next to this spear CD renegade build I also like to play my celestial spear herald (plus Superior Runes of the Traveller) especially while running around on the maps solo or with random players around or in the small but successfull little team with my girl friend and my daughter. With both variations I enjoy the spear skill 3 "Abyssal Blitz/Blitz Mines" which is very effective.

Yeah someone taught me a similar herald build i change it to renegade and was sooo much better!

The Ramp up is far too slow, if anything it needs buffing. Give it a ceiling cap on dps, and a faster ramp up. On most fights the ramp up is so slow that the phases will change before you catch up to anyone else. Open world bosses you can see the OPness when you have 15 minutes on a boss like Epoch.

If this gets nerfed by 10k itll still be good given its comfy rotations. I hope it doesn't get gutted thoughever

Great guide but I’m not understanding why every guide advise to take the staff for the “amazing” CC, it’s only one skill that has 150 defiance break and that forces you to run half a mile away from the target, I feel like staff is so ass and even when I need to CC I end up using my elite skills rather than swapping to it ..

Nice guide, I'm still trying to get used to the spear rotation. How does this build handle open world content while exploring the new zones? It doesn't seem to have a lot of defensive utility. Is this more for instanced content?

Thanks for the guide, I was searching so long for something that fits my playstyle :) Only change Im going to make is using axe/warhorn bc I love the ranged option and am used to these two :D Cant wait to try it out later today :D

the achievements and BL Requisition Investor have been removed. No other way to acquire keys for free unless you do the weekly alt grind, Claw Island story key and that's about it.

where you got so much life from? Got all zerk gear and i runes exactly the same and i just got only 16462 life. Also my whole Accessoires are Zerk.

Still no reason for me to return then, shame. Hopefully the next one brings something more interesting. Haven't played since EOD, little over 2 years.
