I know you mentioned you don't like the idea of prestocking bullets but I would suggest stocking a Water bullet before a fight because that means the input for it becomes 3, then 2 like every other attunement. One less thing to have to be thinking about during fights.

Great build and extremely comfortable voice :) I would also love to see a guide for power cata. Since cata. is way harder than tempest, at least in my opinion.

5:09 a Tempest Buff: The protection from Hardy Conduit is now also given to allies 👍 Additionally the 20% better protection is yourself only. It brings the 33% protection to ~40% protection which is the same as taking 9,85% less damage over all 😁 ~10% less dmg taken source: My math using Excel.

So, as much as I love this build, I don't really like using a pistol on ele, feels kinda weird and clunky for me..does scepter work instead of pistol? if possible do you know what the rotation would look like?

You're very welcome. Rune of the Lich is a very cheap alternative which still gives you a decent amount of Condi Duration. A good placeholder option.

This is a very timely upload because I've been dusting off my Elementalist for mostly WvW purposes so this is the right push to get me back into the habit of doing strikes with it. Is Quick Catalyst still super sweaty to play or have the new weapons and updates done anything to make it more accessible yet?

Quick cata is still horrible to play You have warhorn earth 4 which helps a bit with boon uptime but nonetheless its design is still really bad… Play tempest (or weaver) but stay away from cata until anet rework the spec (or let it regen energy always…pls a bit passively)

Power Catalyst I found fine to play. Quickness Catalyst I didn't have a great time with however. It was WAY more work to keep up boons compared to so many other Quickness providers for no extra payoff.

Hey Connor just starting the game again (stopped playing within the first expansion heart of thornes). i got a ascended celestial set . just for open world completion etc. do u think this build will somewhat work even if i dont have the requierd set stats ? for some elites and even missions, even if i do less dps but have more surviavability?

Hi, don't know if you'll see this message. I'm trying the build (full dps version) but i can't go higher than 29k...and it seems i'm doing exactly the same stuff. I have same stats, runes, sigils, food and utils...actually food is +70 expertise and +100 condition dmg I checked your stats, i have 160 more condition damage, 120 less expertise and 8% less condi duration... you think this is enough difference to justify 30k? In terms of speed i think i'm doing pretty well...i don't understand :P

Hi, the main thing that comes to mind is to make sure you add all conditions to the golem (especially vulnerability) as well as boons to yourself. The 25% from vulnerability would account for the difference. Other than that, it's hard to say without looking at a recording or a DPS Log. If you're able to upload a DPS log to the build advice channel on our Discord then it will be way easier to help.

Absolutely, this build is still totally viable. Still my favorite way of playing Condi Tempest.

Totally, it's still a viable build. You can just run Scepter/Focus and camp Fire Attunement for decent DPS.

Would not recommend it Primary dmg source is burning You will loose out by only focusing on bleeding Viper gives decent power dmg, but you can more by focusing on trapper (yeah i know they are expensive…)

Mad King wouldn't be idea because you're missing out on the burning duration like Cross said. However, Rune of the Tempest and Rune of the Nightmare are passable alternatives if you're stuck.
