I’m curious as Iv just got one of those powered reels, and have a custom. Are you happy with your decision to mount using the side door? Would you do it the same way next time? I’m waiting for a spell of decent weather and rubber paint my floor and I’m in 2 minds as to where to mount it. Cheers
@yourcleanerwindows696922 сағат бұрын
Hi. I love the hose out the side door. But saying that when I replace the van I will be having it out the back. The only reason is that I have a lot of gutter equipment and I think this would fit better behind the bulk head at the side door. Then the back will be only for window cleaning. Hope this answers the question. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I’m trying to get stuck back in to KZbin after not doing anything for a couple of weeks 😂 Your videos are always good but I know what you mean how many times can you watch someone cleaning another window! I really like a mix of commentary about being self employed, the business side of things, marketing etc mixed with footage of cleaning. Hope you have as good a year or better this year! 🤩

Day in the life works. I don’t think anyone would get bored if you spread your work load in a cycle over a few months plus your gutter jobs. How do you decide what houses you film? Do you ask the customer if they are ok with you filming at their house?
@yourcleanerwindows69692 күн бұрын
I don’t ask them if it’s just going to be a small clip. If it’s a large job and I’m there for a while I will ask them.

How big a tank do you have in the van? One thing to consider when using a step ladder is work from it straight on not side on as they are not stable sideways. Weather looks so much better where you are than here, not been working this week due to it being below -2C all week! Looks better next week so no real problem. Hope you are feeling all better now.

All the best for 2025 ,roll on the better weather !

With your turnover you could absolutely get a hot water system. Even if you were paying £100PM (which you wouldn't be), with 5 extra cleans a month its paid for, not to mention the quicker cleaning rate and that the monthly cost would be tax deductible so you would be paying it out in tax anyway....

Day in the life is good. Hope you are all feeling better now. It's very rare to see a complete job, i.e. from pulling up to driving away. Hose management might be a good one, as no one ever talks about how they route their hose, i.e. do they go to furthest point first then pull hose back as they go, coil up pole hose to move front to back etc... Pricing jobs, I don't necessarily mean exact pricing more methodology not just house windows but commercials, gsf and gutter empty. Staying as 1 person probably best as VAT threshold makes the transition difficult. Hot water would be nice but not sure it actually pays for it's self. I do keep thinking of an electric one - 2kw immersion heater but external to tank.... Anyway have a prosperous and healthy 2025.

Hey mate, this was a great video some weeks back that helped me decide on a Gardener Flocked sill brush. Finally had some equipment arrive last week and gave my own property a go. Couldn't believe how much harder it is than it looks! The question I have is do you find the TFR makes a big difference? I hadn't used any product on mine as I don't have the backpack yet. Just tap water and shoulder power! Really hoping the chemical makes a difference as I couldn't imagine doing this day in day out after the few hours I had with my own property 😂
@yourcleanerwindows696921 күн бұрын
Hi. Yeah the chemical makes a big difference in loosing the dirt and it also gives it a good shine. It’s always hard when you first start but your muscles get used to it. I think window and gutter cleaning is harder than people think.

Hi, what would be the best brush and pole for starting out?
@yourcleanerwindows696928 күн бұрын
Hi. Don’t bother with any hybrid pole. They are too flexi and hard to control especially when you’re new. Spend a bit more and get carbon fibre. I would probably go with Gardiner SLX 22. 22 ft would mean you will be able to clean all 2 storey windows and some 3 storey but it won’t be too heavy for using all the time. Gardiner has the biggest range of attachments and brushes. You would get a brush with the pole so I would probably get an Ultimate 26cm medium soft as a starter.

Yeah I know you send out a lot, but you want to add a van or two every year. I think we all try 1000 and say it doesn't work lol.
