Using Step-ons or some trestles with planks to raise you up a few feet or more help a lot and shorten the pole required, and thanks for the vid, very informative.

The only advice I'd give you is if you're not a fan of being up the ladder then don't go up there mate, but if you do use ladders then get some d rung ladders, way nicer on your feet than the square rungs you're using. And use a ladder stabiliser at the bottom of the ladder to stop it slipping out. Cool video though mate 👍🏻

Hi Matt great vid, i always like to see the solar panels first as they can vary in what they need. I have cleaned ones that are covered in Lichen badly so now i avoid the bad ones. I have used Biocide on a customers solar panels as the lichen was that old and everywhere. Algoclear pro you can't use on solar panels but GKPro you can. I did tell my customer to check with the product data sheet incase it voids any warranty. But the panels were old so they went for it. Took a few months but i tested the lichen each month i cleaned the windows. When they started to come off easy i went over the panels and it got them all off. I can see why there are proper solar panal brushes for those sitiuations but they are expensive. So christ knows how much the slar panel cleaning componies would charge. If it is light dirt then our wfp should be fine and no problem.

The cleaning solution I used had a biocide in it to help keep them clean. I’m actually thinking about pushing for more of these jobs and starting a small solar panel cleaning round. Might not work out but worth a try. Thanks again for watching.

Looks great. Chemicals seemed to do a great job when combined with the tucker scrubber. For the customers viewing it might be worth cleaning the lower edge so it's nice and clean looking. Re the 4ft or 8ft pole debate, I did a 1st clean yesterday on a huge house that had massive Georgian windows that where about 10ft tall, the 8ft clx was perfect, I would have struggled with a clx4 or had to use my sxl22.

Yeah I should have cleaned that front edge. I was running out of time also. 8ft it is then.

Hey Matt, nice video mate, I was going to advertise solar panel cleaning a while back but got put off by someone telling me they can’t actually be switched off? Is this not really something to bother about?
@yourcleanerwindows696923 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. I think you’re right about not being able to switch them off. I talked to a friend who installs them and he said they are perfectly safe.
