I have the odd customer that likes the sills wiped down as well Matt. I don’t mind their windows at the end of the day. Nice to pick up work because of that window cleaner not turning up 😅

Strange to buy a round and not turn up at least once. But good for me because each one of these customers has accepted a higher price. Thanks for the comment.

@@yourcleanerwindows6969all I can think they just didn’t want that area of particular houses. Like you say some people just want a regular window cleaner and will happily pay for that. Good indicators of good customers too.

I can only imagine people buy rounds and cherry pick the jobs they want to keep but who knows ! Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

No idea but I’ve been taking them and putting the price up. Thanks for watching.

Interesting that you skipped when you couldn't work. I assume you are so busy you can't 'catch up' over a week or so? Great to pick up new jobs so easily.
@yourcleanerwindows69694 күн бұрын
Yeah I was debating whether to move the schedule on a couple of days or try and catch up but I like how the months are scheduled at the moment and everyone is used to be being on a certain day of the week. In the end I decide to just skip the cleans as most were monthly anyway. All the customers were quite understanding of the situation. Yeah just so busy I would never catch up. I wonder how many other new customers I’ll get from this guy not turning up.

Hi mate, enjoying the vids! Can I ask how long you have been window cleaning for and did you just pick it up yourself practicing on your own house etc or did you work for someone first? Thinking of getting a little round myself! Cheers. 👍

Hi. Thanks for watching and commenting. I started in 2020 so have been window cleaning 4 years. I learnt from KZbin and did some family and friends first for practice.

How do u find the slick connect mate? Iv been looking at them today think il give it a go. Also what pole hose u using? Getting fed up with mine constantly kinking
@yourcleanerwindows69697 күн бұрын
Find the slick connect good. I used the rectus before and they used to drip all the time. The only problem I have with the slick connect is the plastic got very brittle last winter when it was extremely cold, also you have to be careful not to stand on them. On the whole they last a lot longer than the rectus. With regard to pole hose. I use flexi5 which comes with the Ova8 poles and is sold by a few of the manufacturers. It never kinks as I always disconnect it from the hose reel every time I put it in the van.

@yourcleanerwindows6969 cheers for the fast reply. Yea iv had enough the rectus fittings dripping all the time. Looks like your slick connect is holding up to the battering it must take winding the hose back in

@carlhales9930 yeah they are pretty good as I said. I do carry spares with me in the van.

Hi mate, have you ever had the hose coming out the back of your van ? Wondered if coming out the side of the van is massively different ? Cheers
@yourcleanerwindows69697 күн бұрын
I’ve never had a hose coming out the back. This is my first van system. The side can sometimes be tricky as you have to make sure you park the correct way round. I had it like this so I had more space at the back for my gutter stuff and nobody can take anything out the back when the side doors open as I also have deadlocks. I think in my next van set up I’ll go with an upright tank just past the side door and hoses at the back. keep behind the bulkhead for my gutter stuff etc. thanks for watching and commenting.

@ I’ve seen people with the power up 3D on top of their tank ( like mine ) but has a swivel so can use the side and the rear Sounds like you have the same issues occasionally as someone who uses the rear Great videos, keep up the content 👍

@ a swivel would be good. Thanks for the kind words.

What excuse did they give for skipping having their windows cleaned? If they don't have a good excuse then I ask them to find another window cleaner. Same with access...if I go twice and cannot get access to the back windows I don’t go again.
@yourcleanerwindows69697 күн бұрын
One of the customers is having building work at the moment. Should have been finished by now but isn’t. The other one was working nights and didn’t want me disturbing her sleep. Most customers don’t skip and eventually if they keep skipping I let them know that I’m removing them from my round.

Prices for window cleaning vary massively all over the country. That semi with conservatory for £20.00 is a decent price. I only manage £20.00 for a large 4 bedroom detached with conservatory. In fact most of my customers tell me their previous window cleaner only charged £15.00 and that I am expensive. It's weird people with a 2 bedroom terraced will happily pay £10.00 but people with huge detached properties with large conservatory are not willing to pay £20.00 when there's 4 times the amount of glass to clean compared to the 2 bed terraced.
@yourcleanerwindows69697 күн бұрын
Yeah I’m in the south west and I think they are fairly high compared to other areas. I’m not cheap either but I like to provide a decent high end service. That one that I got new and was £20 the previous guy charged £12. When the customer came out to ask me he said I think the previous guy was too cheap. I go by a price list which is in my website. Have a look if you want. Link to the website is in the description. I find that I send people there first and it stops the ones who want it cheap contacting me.

@@yourcleanerwindows6969 I'm a bit of a perfectionist and never rush. On average how long does it take you to do a large 4 bedroom detached property with conservatory?
@yourcleanerwindows69697 күн бұрын
@ hard to tell as depends on size of conservatory etc. I would say 35 mins.
@martinhughes46136 күн бұрын
When pulling out your hose, if you take you pole with you you'll save so much time. Walking back and forth wastes so much time. Just about if advice. Good video 👍
@yourcleanerwindows69696 күн бұрын
@martinhughes4613 yeah I do do that sometimes. A lot of the time I like to shut the door of the van so have to go back to the van anyway.
