Love the tape-like hiss on this, is it coming from the vst, the delay or is it added with the boum gain stages?
@basementlyle11 сағат бұрын
@@luxinterior5 thanks! It’s a bit of both. The Teletone piano has some tape noise in it and the Boum really brings it out more. It does have its own noise floor too so I think it combines together.

What is an aliaser? I like to consider myself a pedal aficionado and I have no idea what that is. Do I want one? Do I need one? Or do I already have one?
@basementlyle9 күн бұрын
@@nicholasrella6904 it’s very similar sonically to a bitcrusher. The high frequencies are more affected by the lower sample rate sorta folding back. Sometimes it can sound a bit ring mod ish too? Other times it sounds a bit more delicate? Though it can also sound just as wrecked as a bitcrusher.
@nicholasrella69049 күн бұрын
@@basementlyle Perfect description. That's pretty much what it sounded like to me. I've noticed wave folding has been pretty trendy lately. This is an excellent implementation of the concept. Most builders are using it as a distortion. Kind of a one trick pony imo. Wave folding is not your everyday distortion. It's something you might use for a solo or one specific segment of a song. I love how this Drolo pedal also does other effects, making it much more practical. I've tried some wave folding pedals that sounded great but were way too expensive for something I would only use once in a blue.

Thank you! 🥰 I didn't fully showcase the flanger as well as I could have, in part because of how I do things parallel, but it's a very cool and animated flanger - especially with the envelopes engaged.
