I have tried OBS many times and could never get the bitrate encoder to stream right. I use the built in recording on the PS5 and then the Playstation ShareFactory to edit. I stream directly from the PS5 to Twitch or KZbin. I also have the AverMedia LiveGamer Media 2 Plus to capture higher quality stuff from my Switch, Xbox and Laptop and then edit with Wondershare Filmora... Not what you were asking tho, sry...

agreed , that is why I bought the AverMedia to help with streaming. Just to be able to offload some of the CPU usage from the game that bogs down the OBS streaming. That is exactly the trouble I was having as well.

I still have my base PS5 (I am giving it to my kid for Christmas) and a PS5 pro (for myself) and after the PS5 pro patch 1.06, the game looks noticeable better than the base PS5 version now. It's not the absolute transformational update with no issues like some other pro enhanced games but if we are being absolutely honest here neither is the base PS5 version in any mode or the PC on any hardware. The same is true of games like Alan Wake 2 and Star Wars Jedi Survivor. These games look great on base PS5 but to pretend that they don't have thier visuals hiccups is a false summary of how the game looks and runs on base PS5, PS5 pro or PC. To begin the game is significantly softer on base PS5 being that it's a lower output resolution, so everything from textures on character models, environmental details, hair, reflections in puddles....all of it are much softer on the base PS5 version than on Pro. The base PS5 version also contained (and still does contain) low resolution artifacts, especially when talking about the performance mode of these games. These artifacts are generally resolved by switching to Fidelity mode but it doesn't completely eliminate these issues and comes with the trade off of being 30fps. This is where the pro comes in.... after the PS5 pro 1.06 patch, the game now fulfils the promise of the PS5 pro advertising which is bringing the quality of the visuals up to (or beyond) the fidelity mode on the base PS5 but with the benefits of the performance mode 60fps. This patch achieves that to great result and yes while still not perfect....it is noticeably better than base PS5 in that the game in performance mode has all of the resolution and rendering targets of the base PS5 fidelity mode except at 60fps. Now before anyone says well PC will run this game better....again being honest here we have to stop pretending like PC (even at the highest levels of hardware is without issue. No one complains about the hardware when the 4090 has stuttering issues or texture pop in, or other visual anomalies....we normally chalk that up to the game being poorly optimized or a glitch from the developer but its never the hardware's fault. Yet here in these three games, despite there being over 50+ games that are currently Pro enhanced....with more to come in the future which all work significantly better than these three, we immediately look to say that its the hardwares fault despite running the game better and looking better. I think this 1.06 patch is a sort of testament to that....the previous 1.05 patch looked abysmal on PS5 pro and had people saying the base PS5 version looked better. The console is now just 15 days old and the latest patch absolutely resolves that 1.05 issue and yet you still see people trying to push the narrative that the remaining issues are the fault of the hardware. Its weird because on one hand you have better technology running the game better than before and yet people are critical of its every flaw and on the other you have people running with the narrative that the base PS5 or PC is better while largely ignoring the issues with those versions. I think sane people understand that there is a heirachy in place, a sort of visual and performance peaking order if you will....base PS5 is a great entry point for 500.00 where you will largely choose between best visuals amd performance, PS5 pro is a noticeable step up in that pro enabled games give you the visual fidelity of the base PS5 fidelity and the benefit of 60fps and the exchange for that is a higher pricepoint. And then finally PC is where you will find the highest in performance and fidelity but that comes at an even greater price than the PS5 pro. There's nothing majorly wrong with whatever level you choose as the base product is good to start with and each step up only improves upon the one before it, but pretending that there are no issues and only on this product is the stupidest thing ever and the quickest way to disappointment with games.

I am also giving my PS5 to my son, he has wanted to play the remake of Demon's Souls, but is not going to pay 500 for a PS5 to play one game. I agree that most if not all games have some form of hiccups. The output resolution on the base PS5 was 1152p upscaled and the PS5 Pro was 900p upscaled(as per Digital Foundry counts). Which is an amazing feat to take a lower resolution and upscale to 2160p and have 60fps. I never checked this game out on PS5 by choice, I wanted to utilize the PS5 Pro tech. With these first iterations of games using PSSR will take a bit of trial and error to get ‘visually up to par’, it is a great forum for conversation. I read that the 4090’s are having issues with some rendering and will need updates to get this tech up to snuff, over time. Being critical on software or new hardware is and always will be a conversation. Pushing the Dev’s to great things. I we were compliant with first releases being in the form of a new release or a patch, DLC, Console, Headphones, etc. Everyone would still be playing Cyberpunk 1.0. Having a forum(social media), to air our concerns and comments are fantastic. I don’t think this is an expensive console, you can’t build a close comparison with only 640 dollars(PS5 Pro minus the cost of the controller). I am very willing to put money towards the company to enhance the tech and help pay the R&D departments. This is a fantastic console and what is does and the future of games and patches to progress the technology is exciting. I have been waiting many years for this. I am glad the PS5 Pro console is here. If people choose to not play with these issues(minor or major), in their eyes. That is their choice and we all have things we like or not like and choose an action accordingly. I choose to not play at 30fps, I am not going to buy the latest Farming Simulator 25 until they bring 60fps on console. For example… I play and will continue to play Silent Hill 2 on this console, I chose to stop playing for a bit until the next patch. It arrived and I am happy with it. The minor visual flickering does not affect the story nor the ambience of it. Fantastic game, then and now. Enjoy it everyone…

ok, it's better but still not what it was. I'm happy that i still got the base ps5 and silent hill 2 steelbook edition. Flickering annoys my eyes but it does look sharper right?

There is still some flickering but mostly off in the distance. While in a closer view there seems to be no flickering. Maybe around a 20 foot radius..

Currently, the developer of Silent Hill 2 is likely in discussions with Sony, which provided optimization guidelines for the PS5 Pro even before the game’s release. Now they are trying to determine who is responsible for the optimization issues and who will cover the costs of fixing the PS5 Pro version. This might be the reason why the developer remains silent and hasn’t commented on players’ complaints about the visual problems in this version of the game.

@@jonr7364 I once spent $1,700 to upgrade my PC system to play the latest PGA Golf game to see all the blades of grass and other visual improvements. I stopped upgrading systems around 10 years after that. PC, I found is wayyyy to expensive to keep up with. My own choice .

It is the same upscaled 4k output but at 60 fps instead of 30 fps. I am just really enjoying the 60fps on this system with my 4K 120Hz flat screen.

I am really enjoying this experience @ 60 fps. I have a 65 inch 4K 120Hz flat screen, and it looks and runs amazing for me. Yes, this game got a PS5Pro patch to be able to run at upscaled 4K @ 60 fps. on a PS5 you would have 4K @ 30 fps I have 4K @ 60 fps.

You can bust the wall in the bathroom and find it there. There's a catch though, if you go into the bathroom courthouse first, it'll be in the other one where there's the "glitch" in this video. It changes depending on where you go first.

hope its great on PS5, I bought it for PS4, It's unplayable, from the horrible controller, to the motion sickness camera, if you can get over that, then you get treated with the same words thousands of times per hour! the game sucks! I have bought 315 Games on Playstation Network, They gave me a refund, its the first time I ever asked. The game sucks.

The controls on the PS5 are working fine for me, flying leaves a lot to be desired tho... I really enjoyed the game, but I am a huge fan of the movies. I enjoyed the story, a lot. @@ploiquegaming its really strange, I got really sick the first 2 minutes because I was trying to get the camera view correct, and somehow it made me very sick like 3 days ago, and i am still feeling sick like 10 times a day.. I have over 300 games, have never felt this sick before, well there was 1 VR game that did it a few years ago. Strange thing every time I think of the Hogwarz, i feel sick again.. Really strange, i hope it goes away soon.

Lately when I am online, the players will quit or get disconnected. Most games I end up with AI's by the end of the game... The longest I had to wait for a game to fill with Human players is around 15'ish minutes. It's still not too bad.

I feel like some scenes are fixed like it works fine when you're talking to NPC in open world but many of the pre-rendered cutscenes are still the same, like when Uncle says "Honor" you can see it clearly which is a little disappointing I won't lie because the Japanese voice acting is sooo good, still a wonderfull game tho

100% agree. some of the dialogue felt rushed in the timeline of the original. the mouth movements were not exact for what I was hearing, It was minor but still amazing to watch and yes to play...
