So with single plane is the “squat move” to start the downswing still incorporated or is it unnecessary?
@Setup4ImpactКүн бұрын
That would be ideal for golfers to create more speed, but not something I would recommend for everybody.

wow...this took alot of courage to address this and let viewers know how everyone has their own unique swing. Everyone is built differently, has different flexibility and lack the time to try to perfect a swing. Kukos to you for addressing this. simplicity is key to a good golf swing, in my opinion. It's a learning curve for everyone.

I think gripping the club in a way that makes it set correctly in the backswing and then deliver the strike consistently is best. Every one has different body types and physical limitations. Do what gets you on plane and towards the target efficiently. Whip versus hammer

Kirk - you commented about spine angle/distance from ball affecting swing path. In the single plane swing what launch monitor numbers should i shoot for regarding swing path, club face , club to path. Im 66 an my club head speed on driver is 85-90 mph. What smash factor should I shoot for?

I like those impact boards great training aid if you are hitting behind the ball, one tip when using make sure you and the board are on the the same level, if you are standing on just say a side walk and you just drop down the strike pad it will be a little higher and when you swing you may see club hitting board at or behind ball. It can be amazing to find and feel what does have you hitting ground after ball. After you figure out what you have to do to hit ball first than you can put the board at different angles and heights and figure out what you must do to hit ball first. One way is getting on a slop going up and down hill. Nice to find what you have to do on the down hill lie to hit ball first, saves tearing up a lot of slops when trying with ball on actual slop.

I can't express how grateful I am to you for doing the hard work to help me climb out of the golf mire I have been engulfed in from trying to follow the Moe Norman model. I have spent years playing the Natural Method and have slowly and steadily become almost a laughing stock amongst my golf buddies. My best score ever was 77 playing a more conventional way. I decided to try the Moe Norman way because I always played my best golf with a single plain swing. Over the last 2 years I have gone from competent to laughable and have battled to break 100, even hitting 120 recently at a difficult course. When I tried to go back to my previous method my muscle memory was so confused I couldn't achieve either way. After about 3 weeks practicing your method I have recently hit a 40 over 9 holes and regularly hit under 50 for 9. Thank you so much. I had seriously considered giving up entirely and would have deeply resented it as I enjoy my golf so much. I have to say I haven't paid you anything and have only taken instruction from your videos. Clever, easy to understand and actually brilliant. Thank you again.

Great invention 🎉 I think a lot of us are not clear how shallow the divot should be. We are told to hit down. That can be very confusing.
@Setup4Impact13 күн бұрын
Yes, I am shocked at how few golfers have a good concept as to what should be happening at and through impact. For most shots we just want to scrape the ball off the ground.

I appreciate this video because it gives great detail of common problems with the full swing. I am committed to the impact drill. I do wanna play some golf and therefore need my full swing as well. This allows me to spend some time working on the full shot and eliminating common mistakes. This will definitely increase the speed of which I learn and improve my golf swing.

Why the jumbo grip? The technician was telling me that it would prohibit closing the face. My internal response is my swing uses the body and not the hands to square the face. I was having a tough time with the impact drill until I put the jumbo on.
@Setup4Impact15 күн бұрын
I think that the Jumbomax ultra lite grips are a game changer. They fit what I teach as we are setup 4 impact there is no need to manipulate the club through impact.

BE CAREFUL with Mr Junge and the company that supports him KJ Golf. They do an “automatic recurring charge” if you join his website- in my case $89.00! Like so many we are surprised when these are slipped in your agreement without be spelled out clearly when joining. I had not accessed their website content for some time- then the recurring charge popped up out of no where. I contacted KJ Golf and Mr Junge eventually responded, basically saying that’s too bad and you should have cancelled sooner- mind you this was the day after the charge! He was dismissive and not helpful at all. Proceed with caution here.

Thanks for the video. I think one of my biggest problems is that I have trouble hitting the ball dead centre on the club face. I often either hit it nearer the toe and the ball veers off significantly to the left (I'm a left handed golfer) or hit closer to the heel and the ball will go a shorter distance. Any suggestions for getting that club face more centred?
@Setup4Impact20 күн бұрын
This is a big part of my learning program which teaches you how to make constantly great impact. If you are releasing early it will always be inconsistent as the club is moving in different directions on every swing, and the clubface is rotating too fast at impact. My drills teach you how to fix this issue at academy.setup4impact.com

His swing is almost like he's using a katana and trying to slice the ball in two. Was messing with a split grip while practicing today and found this to be a much more accurate way to swing, I don't know how much power im losing or gaining because the strike feels weaker (doesn't cause as much vibration) but the sound the iron makes whenever striking the ball and the ball hitting the net sounds more powerful.

Hi Kurk long time subscriber. Wondering what are your thoughts on starting the club a foot etc behind the ball like Moe instead of setting up with the club head positioned right behind the ball? It seems to make sense wanted your thoughts thanks

I do not see an advantage to starting a foot behind the ball. Moe can’t be copied, and he told people not to copy him over and over again…

Kirk-I’m finding I can stay on plane better by connecting the lead arm above the lead pec and keeping the connection through impact. Is this consistent with SetUp4 Impact? Thanks
@Setup4ImpactАй бұрын
I do not make rules that restrict the golf swing in any way. As long as people are setting up on their impact plane and then moving the club through on that plane. Then ideally with lag through impact.

Hello Kirk, I’m from Pennsylvania and am coming off a double knee replacement (left knee 3 months post op). I’ve had 3 small practice sessions using the single plane swing and doing impact drills in between. I’ve never had the ability to clear the lead side correctly due to the bad knee so this is a new feeling for me. Are there any particular issues with any of your students who have gone through the same surgery? Any thoughts on adjustments would be helpful. I’m 72 and have about a 20 handicap. Thanks for your help.

Moe after reading Manuel De La Torre’s book created the greatest swing of all time watch this full length video to hear him talk about it
@Setup4ImpactАй бұрын
Moe created his golf swing between the age of 17 and 19 years old. In the video shown here Moe is over 70 years old and no longer competing in tournaments. In almost every clinic Moe ever performed he talked about one instructor or method each time, and how he changed his swing. Yet no changes were noticeable on video. I shot this video.
@ryanherrmann6717Ай бұрын
@ thank you for your work I think this is the most important golf video ever recorded. I have watched it 15+ times and though I see your point , in the video he mentions Manuel and Ernest jones several times, indicated he changed his address and swing concept and how everyone’s golf concept has been wrong and this is the way . Again Moe’s words not mine if you watch the video. Studying Manuel’s concept there are no flaws in the concept hence why it worked so well for Moe once he found it .
@Setup4ImpactАй бұрын
@@ryanherrmann6717 Moe did not hit the ball better in that clinic then before. He always hit the ball well for 50+ years. In the next clinic he was talking about how great Paul Bertholy was and that he had changed his swing. 😂

Audio works. You may have to click somewhere to turn it on. Or your computer may have the sound turned off. First test with another video first and if that works then come back to this one and it should work too. If not then you may have muted it somehow.
