I watched with interest these short videos and your other stuff. Wonder why you would not use an 8 iron or similar for this shot - get it on the green and let it run. Interested in your comment about this impact technique chipping, which I used as well as bounce friendly shots also. "Most" others argue this is higher risk if you mis hit behind the ball compared to bounce method and promote using the bounce as your friend and forgiveness - your leading edge seems at times to get caught by the grain of grass particularly on up slope - another reason others promote the bounce shot / and heel up with putting stroke for a shot like you have if pin was closer.

Hi Steve, Good call!!! I think it would have been better with an 8 or 9 iron. I think I was visualizing the green started about half way into the shot, instead of where it did. I think that I did not say that though, which I should have. I normally do not like using bounce much, except on firm very short surfaces when you can only hit a high shot.
