Will this fit and be optimal for a 2008 c30 2.4i (model with an NA 2.4l 5 cylinder)? I know that it would need a T5 rear bumper for the tips to fit.

I bought a 2008 volvo s80 t6 3.0 awd Polestar, i wanna try this cold air filter sounds good , my car before was 2007 volvo s60 2.5t it had aem dryflow airfilter and it sounds good to its itvwas 5 cyl. Its no harm to engine to put cold air intake? I have heard some people say its bad for air and some say do it it will be better because its cotton on cold air intake?

Oiled air filter elements will foul the MAF sensor (oil gets drawn through the filter media), causing an incorrect signal to the computer, with a potential loss of power and ultimately a check engine light. This is why we use washable, dry air filter elements.

Got this installed. Looks good, fits well enough, and power seems fine. But I was disappointed it made almost no difference in how the car/engine sounded. In other cars I've had, replacing the intake let you hear a lot of whooshing and turbo noises. On this? Almost nothing. Very odd.

I think Volvo should have kept their performance engines for the R models a 2.4L or used the D5 Diesel Block. Both are stronger than the 2.5L Block especially the Diesel due to the nature of Diesel engines (very high compression, high peak cylinder pressures, etc). I recon one could build a 400-500hp gasoline engine using a D5 block.

would this make the check engine light go off? because i know if it was on the pipe it wouldn’t, but i put a CAI on my 2006 volvo and the light came on. I have a 2013 s60 now and wonder if it would work.

You'd absolutely be changing the crankshaft at this point. It'll be a brand new one at least, or likely a forged one.

Hello there. I was also checking to slowly upgrade my v50 t5 awd. I was already making a parts list and i was also wondering, will de elevate performance air intake, performance inlet manifold performance turbo intake pipe work on the stock engine? Or do i need the full exhaust and port lower inlet manifold also? Im wondering this becouse i want to get it ready before the turbo upgrade 😅.

No problem running Air Intake, Turbo Intake Pipe, and Inlet Manifold on an otherwise stock set up. No need for a tune for these items either.

Yes, you can run our Air Intake with the stock plastic pipe between the MAF sensor and turbo.

It depends on your C70. Some require an exhaust shop to add short extensions (as stated on the C70 Exhaust product page).

Engine components are different between the T5 and 2.4i, so no these will not fit. Suspension and brake components WILL fit. www.elevatecars.com

Take another look. The air filter element is fully shielded from underhood heat and in fact uses the same fresh air intake as the factory.

@ELEVATEVOLVO I've looked again and the whole back is unsealed and the front left corner is also able to suck hot air in even though it uses the factory fresh air intake. What am I missing?

@@johno9507 the main thing that you are missing is that at about 10mph+ the entire engine bay is exhausted of heat.

@ELEVATEVOLVO I don't believe that for a second. The majority of the air coming in the engine bay is coming through the radiator. And if that were the the case we wouldn't need a cold air intake kit once the car is moving. I'd love to see some tests to back up your claims.

@@johno9507 Your assumption is that the radiator is 100% efficient and is heating ALL of the air passing through. Far from it. If you don't think this product is for you, no worries! We've got thousands around the world that feel otherwise about our air intakes. :)

Yes, but Open Deck are better suited as they have slightly better cooling. Open Deck will support 1,000hp--should be sufficient for your daily driver. :)

No codes as a result of installing any Elevate Exhaust. Some (many) aftermarket downpipes will yield a code related to the catalytic converter.
