You can install this with the turbo on the car but it is tough, 2 people working in unison to get the waist gate preload set. Have fun, hope your hands are smaller than mine.

A bit of patience is needed in setting the preload, but definitely able to be done by one person (speaking from personal experience).

if I were to purchase this product and put on my xc70 t6 would it void warranty, lower gas mileage, etc.

You mention that the computer dictates boost pressure. What would happen if the spring was increased/changed out for a higher pressure spring on this unit? Just curious as I don't know much about these things work.

If you changed the spring just a bit, the computer would adapt and regulate to the output level it is targeting. If you put a spring in that is too far out of range, the computer will go into limp mode.
