I recently started making my own queso fresco and pressed ham. The first hams turned out great.....used a smoker coil that provided heavy pellet smoke for 1.5 hours. Didnt think it would be enough time, but it was just right. Going to try a block of queso fresco next.....no idea what to expect.....

I'm not sure why you think I have anything to do with your issue. I don't work for MEAT, nor am I an affiliate. I just got the grinder and liked it enough to take the time to show people how it worked. They have been great with me and I will continue to use them. I have purchased 4 for myself and others in my family, and no issues yet.

Meat is great products but that comparison to LEM was not fair at all either. You basically have the most expensive version of a MEAT grinder and the cheapest option of a LEM.

Did your grinder come with the stuffer plate or kidney plate ? Thanks
@the_average_american7396 Жыл бұрын
It comes with 3 plates. The large hole (coarse), a small hole plate (fine), and the kidney plate (stuffing). It also comes with some stuffing tubes. It works OK, but I found that sometimes it will not work too good if the meat gets a little warm. I went ahead and bought the small stuffer and they work really good together. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching, and sorry there is no recipe. However, this is a video of the grinder, not the sausage. There are too many polish sausage recipes out there to even count, but only a handfull of clips on the use of the "Meat" brand grinder. Good cooking to you.

Made this today. Only tweeks I made were I added 2 TBS of Crystal Hot Sauce and I didn't put the sesame seeds. I also use a pork Tenderloin. I did 2 hours at 180 on my Pellet Smoker. Came out great. My wife and kids tore it up. I bought $13 worth of pork loin and ended up with just under 2lbs of finished jerkey.

Thanks for watching. I don't have the recipe. It was one that my son had brought home with him from his time in Poland. The recipe varies from region to region, and this was the one he wanted to try. My best advise is to look at recipes form the area you interested. The web is full of them.

Is your fish hold refridgerated? Thanks for sharing the video, very cool to see.
@the_average_american7396 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. My fish hold was not refrigerated. I would load on 3-4 of the 6 Brailer Bags with ice, and after we threw the fish in the hold we would bury them in ice. We were only out for a 12 hour period, and the internal temp of the fish would be less than 40 F by the time we got back to the dock. My son fished out in Bristol Bay and most of the boats out there use the refer system.

I like it more every time I use it. My brother recently purchased the 1 hp. model and he runs it almost weekly. Suggestions are just to keep the parts as cold as possible for the best results. Also, I use the sausage stuffer instead of using the grinder. It is extra money, but well worth it in the end.
@HogMan2022 Жыл бұрын
@@the_average_american7396 thank you very much! I'm an old fart these days, and I've been thinking the same thing on the stuffer. I'm buying the stuffer and the mixer in May. I'm too old to mix that cold meat by hand and that 1.5 hp marries up to their mixer. I'm kind of on the fence with the MEAT stuffer though. I watched a video of a guy cranking until his arm came off 🤣 to return the plunger to top position. I might buy another brand stuffer that has the 'High Gear' return or an electric if it's American made 🇺🇸, but I have a month to decide. You've sold me on the grinder tough. 🙋 Thank you very much for the response!
@the_average_american7396 Жыл бұрын
Good luck. My brother also has the mixer and it is nice. I agree on the stuffer. The gear ratios need to be better. However, they do make the sausage turn out better in the end though. I usually have my grandsons do the cranking.

@@the_average_american7396little late to the conversation but reading all I can I can’t decide between the 1.0hp and the 1.5hp it’s over 200 bucks difference and I am just getting started I bought a small grinder made it 2 weeks!!! Time to upgrade but you said your brother has the 1.0 I really like the sausage mixer and being able to couple to the grinder I don’t know if the Meat 1.0 will do that I know the 1.5 will. Thank you for the video! I just killed my two and a half year old bull and I'm buying this very same grinder April 3, 2023. I've been researching everything I can find in meat processing equipment for home use, and this 1.5 hp MEAT grinder is an American made workhorse.
