Solid! Always nice when it happens the way you want it. I need one of those pole saws, this Tuesday i had to the same thing but with those whole piece. Had every rope and hardware i could get my hands on. Lotta wood. Stay safe!

it's not a true evergreen, because it does loose its leaves, but it happens so fast that it appears like an evergreen. so I think its kinda both? unlike other deciduous oaks, these gradually lose and replace all their leaves annually

This is pretty cool. Very clever! Ive been struggling with the typical method, I hope this way is easier for me.

The magnificent Pine trees around me don't need you, or your "arborist" buddies, to prune anything whatsoever. Furthermore, the magnificent Pine tree will tower far above you, your "arborist" buddies, and any trees you ever have in your collective lives.

Not a professional but from my understanding On the unicender you don’t need to touch the device to repel. You can just loop the slack end over the top and pull down. Should give you enough friction to stop when you pull or accidentally let go.

Not sure why I haven't seen this earlier. Lawrence has got some mad skills for climbing and rigging. He's showing a lot of us "older" guys how to get it done right. Actually got to work with him a few times(Arbor X video). Very laid back and willing to share his knowledge. 😎👊 Thanks for posting up this video. Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🌲 Randy

you have forgotten the main advantage of the rope guide, it is a strangler and can to be used on barrels for felling or palm trees!!!!

Looks easy. Unsure whether climbing with such technique is easy in practice.

Very informative with all the pros and cons of each method! As a hobby climber/arborist who uses DRT I am drooling over a Roper Runner Pro and implementing SRT for when the canopy starts 10+ meters up in the air. My only concern is that my biceps won't be getting the same workouts as with only doing DRT.

Why do guys rigg tge top then throw the rest ?? 😢just cut and let it all drop makes no sense..its not going to hurt dirt or grass ..toss on brush especially if you have machine

So…let’s just start with…trees don’t need to be trimmed. “THEY WILL SELF PRUNE” So this is 99% for looks and the Reason trees are trimmed is that it’s the bread and butter Of arborists and people Want their trees to look a certain way. But if you fall in to those categories - get a real arborist. Not a tree trimmer and not your average run o the mill weekend graduate arborist.

I get what you're saying but you got way too much length in your system so it's hard to take you serious? Put a chainsaw in your hands, then show me if want to convince me? I think the problem is your harness. The rope bridge on the front of your harness is adding unnecessary distance.
@bjjthaiboxing26 күн бұрын
That is a brilliant piece of equipment. Looks a lot more professional than connecting a line to your truck bumper? Lol

Hi Josiah! I just wanted to put in a request for you to make more videos explaining how to prune all different types of trees- young, old, conifers, deciduous, for aesthetics, for health, specific tree species, etc. There’s not enough content on properly doing this and I feel like you have the perfect channel to do it.
@StridertreesАй бұрын
That’s a good idea, it’s a bit tough because most every tree species has different recommendations so it ends up being one video per tree type, but I do have a video covering the generalized basics that is pretty consistent across most trees, and I could probably do another and it would be good idea !👍🏼

With the small bend ratio of that ring are both legs of rope carrying the weight of the piece making it double the weight at ring ?
@hcwaffles8912Ай бұрын
I like to get my throline in the tree, tie my rope on, pull the rope up just over the union i want and then use a bite from my rope to tie i guess a double running bowline around the throw line if thats the best way to explain it, then pull the throwline all the way through so my bowline is at the union and the tail end of my rope is touching the floor, that way i have the least amount of useless tail to work with and its midline attachable like the notch quickie anchor you showed there, personally i prefer base ties for access rather than canopy anchors and then ill set a canopy anchor higher up in the tree once i am already there
