Great video saw alot of valuable information 👍, it would be awesome to have a video going over throw ball manipulation to get better isolation for canopy anchors and tree access 🤙🤙 keep up being awesome 👌 👏 👍

Hmm, no mention of ye ol’ alpine butterfly w a quickie. Maybe cause it’s not made by Edelrid? 😒

There's a lot of people who still don't fully approve/trust the quickie. I personally use it but some people I know think rope on rope is just safer

@@blujay22 Ah, maybe and a valid reason but that’s not why they didn’t show it’s use in this video.

This should be an interesting series. Hope you plan on going further in depth of details. Applied forces including shock load and friction heat over bend radius are often overlooked. Even different rope types, diameter, material, construction can impact the anchor choice's. Thanks in advanced for this opportunity for us all to learn just a little bit or a lotta bit more.

You nailed it! Lots more information coming about those details.

Probably won’t dig too much into how the ropes affect the anchorage, because there are so many variables with relatively subtle differences, but we’ve certainly got more planned

Perhaps I'm unusual, but I like to get a high tie in, and isolate it every time. Most of the time, I tie in with a butterfly and Quickie.

I would REALLY appreciate a video on how to use MRS to move around the canopy even though you use SRS to get up into the canopy. I can't find anything about it on YT. What are the advantages of switching to MRS for canopy mobility? Do you switch using the same rope (i.e. can I switch from using a ZigZag and Chicane to just using the ZigZag during the MRS period) or do you need a separate rope and friction hitch or device for the MRS piece? What's the best way to anchor when switching from SRS to MRS? What's the advantage of using MRS to advance your anchor point vs just tying in with a lanyard and moving my SRS line with Quickie to a different anchor point? So many questions, so little info out there.

Hello. A couple of times during this video you mentioned that you could advance an MRS system, but it appeared that you were saying that an SRT system is only meant to be positioned once from the ground. In other words, is there a problem with setting up SRT system low, and advancing it in the same way that you would do an MRS system?

You show how to us a notch quickie and a butterfly knot as a canopy anchor. Is this still ok and if it is how come you didn’t show this as an anchor point because it’s fast and easy. Just a question thanks.

I appreciate what your trying to do with this video, but you missed the mark by far. No talk about using a quickie to reduce friction & rope damage with the alpine butterfly Canopy Anchor (CA). Nothing at all about a floating ring CA. Suggesting that you can’t efficiently ladder climb into the canopy SRS is crazy. Don’t want to be a troll, but this video would have been outdated 3 years ago.
