I’m actually a big fan of Casiopea and one of the things that I always associate with a lot of Japanese fusion is motorsports due to their first album cover lol. One thing that I love about this genre of music (not just Japanese Jazz fusion, but jazz fusion in general) is how pronounced and awesome the bass lines are. Thank you, this is an awesome compilation!

This is one of those genres for me that's usually too specific to pin down-- yes, I know someone else said it was bebop lol (although Salt Peanuts is a pioneer bebop song and it doesn't sound crime-y to me?) I recommend Royal Crown Revue for this general vibe, they even make songs about old-timey gang activity lol. Another genre that I swear I've heard but have had to dig around for specific examples is 60s-style Halloween music with electric organs and guitar.

Listened to music like this a ton growing up - between my dad's records and old school racing games I was listening to WAY too much noodle-y jazz fusion for a normal child.
