Yes! As long as your curls/kinks are twisted, braided or locked away you will retain length.

To keep the body, do you just sleep in a big bonnet?

I sleep in a big bonnet but I find that allowing your hair to dry before laying down keeps the body. If you sleep while it’s wet it’ll dry flat. Hope this helps

I did these loose twists for the first time just as small as yours and I really love this style. Took me awhile to figure out how to twist loosely but I got it. Took about 4 to 5 hrs. Now I have ideas how I can style it.Thank You! ❤

NaturallyHigh does loose 2 strand twists and has extremely thick and kinky hair. Also NaturallyInspired11 and WestAfricanBaby and CravingYellow and EfficientlyNatural and WhatLiesBeneathTheWigs and NappyHeadedJojoba and JustLostJC and Igbocurls, SwahilNaptural... Anyway, I can go on, but yes those ladies have saved my life. They all have extremely kinky hair like mine and do loose twists

I have been over 4 years natural and I am still learning. My hair is tricky when it comes to retaining length. I know you're thinking well whose type 4 hair isn't tricky. But with my hair strand, it is trickyyy! The ends literally coil up like a slinky...the shrinkage is that real. While the ends coil up like a slinky the rest of the hair coils loosely. Why? Not sure, but with maintaining my hair, you cannot be slacking. This is why I do loose twist so that I can enjoy the nature of my hair without the cost of breakage, single strand knots, and excess tangles. I wanted to see what would happen if I went on vacation with the twist, to I guess, experiment for those wearing the twist with me. I hope you guys enjoyed the video! Let's talk. How long does this last? Also how many times can you moisturize in this style before you have to redo them? I'm sorry if you mentioned it in the video and I missed it!

Bri no problem. They can last a couple of weeks to a month. Then you simply moisturize according to need. Your hair will tell you. Personally a month will be pushing it for the next time to wash and redo. Thanks for watching!
