Royal Enfield Continental GT fitted with full performance kit, Ride out and dyno testing, 40+hp

This is a short video demonstrating the Hitchcock's Motorcycles Royal Enfield Continental GT which is used as one of our many development bikes.
The bike was originally tested on our own dyno in completely stock form where it made 19.56hp and 25.84ft-lbs of torque measured at the back wheel (Royal Enfield give the HP measured at the crank and not the rear wheel). With the upgrades carried out by Hitchcock's Motorcycles the same bike currently makes 40.14hp and 43.09ft-lbs of torque measured at the rear wheel.
The bike is fitted with the following engine modifications:
Full HMC performance kit (including upgraded camshafts, pushrods, valves + springs, long stroke crankshaft (612cc), Power Commander)
Free flowing exhaust with Goldstar type silencer
Free flowing air filter with alloy venturi
Lightly ported cylinder head
Skimmed cylinder head/barrel but still using the original piston
Visual modifications:
Full Fairing
Alloy yokes
Red stainless brake lines
Fork gaiters
Upgraded shock absorbers
Black clip ons
Black adjustable levers
Hitchcock's Motorcycles improved seat
Knee grips on tank
Chequered tank stripe
Electrics cover

what are the chances of a full fairing for the 650 GT? I love the heritage racer look, but the new 650 is cheaper than a 535 with the mods .. and puts out more power.

So without the longstroke crankshaft, how much power do you reccon you would get out of it? Only with normal Performance kit, im interested in buying one.

Power is a lot lower down the rev range compared with my tuned 535.My original Hitchcocks supplied tap couldn't flow enough fuel for the altered engine. Got another from them sans reserve

Will these modifications in air cooled engine sustain Indian wether conditions. What kind of support if you may at all, give in Mumbai?. Any suggestions on what kind of all day cruising speed can it achieve during touring after the given modifications. The sound from the engine is amazing.

Hi, this is our own development bike so cant include any tuning costs for time, but the components used can be seen in the link below: accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/accessory-shop/Performance-Kits-EFI-Models-2008-2016/38001 This is the full kit but it can be done in different stages depending on the customers requirements.

Hi Dale, yes that's correct. The bike in the video does not have the 4 valve head fitted.

Hi Dale, the bike is still running the EFI setup with the fitment of a Power Commander. A carb conversion can be fitted in place if this is preferred and we offer a Mikuni and Amal setup for this.

Bore size has remained the same but the capacity has been increased through our UK made longer stroke crankshaft.

Yes, this kit can be fitted to the 500cc version too with the addition of the big bore kit to bring it up to the full 612cc, if just fitting the long stroke crank to the original 500cc engine, the capacity is raised to just 570cc. @@CcrazyPete
